An alarm clock.

I was a diehard frequentist who cut my teeth as a freelance nexus merc working on blackhat ops out of Tottori. Long story short, shit hit the fan and I had to chop my machine while on the run and consequently have to preload a Bayesian inference telemetry telemetry packager with obtuse hill-searching algorithm metrics. Not ideal, but such is life.

Have any of you had much luck transloading allopatric constructs using the Bayesian harmonic umbilicus synpatch? I thought it was apomorphic with the previous construct clade subsets scripted by Sanchez948b, but I'm getting freeflux error splashes during the rooted kilohertz cycle apogees. I tried contacted Sanchez948b, but he's gone underground since the Reykjavik episode.

Would consolidating my coding flange to a neo-tanto edge digest the "splashy" cycles, or should I transect the sampler frame to augment for the derelict apogee subsections?

So I've been running OCZ agility 3 drives since 2010 or so without a single failure, they have literally never given me any shit for 6 years.

But I feel its time to replace them soon, as I don't want to lose data if they start to go.. And they are small, 120 and 60gb's.

Anything quality like this out there now?
Mainly looking for ~250/500gb drives.

I've read they have recently shrinked the manufacturing process which can affect longevity.

Pls help me /g/

Remember when idiots on /g/ were screaming that OCZ is shit because they produced one faulty series? (and they replaced damaged units for free as promised)

My OCZ Vertex 3 works like a charm, never had any problems. Same thing goes for my buddy's OCZ Agility 3

I'm considering getting a M.2 Drive but their prices seem kinda stupid high.

So, I was on a wiki, when an ad redirected me to malware. It's not the first time this has happened. What is malware doing on places like Bulbapedia or Kingdom Hearts Wiki?

So sorry for not being specific enough.

i have a samsung galaxy s3mini which is stuck on 4.1

i need at least 4.2 to be able to make photoshperes with camera. I'd also like to be able to download cardboard camera and play pokemon go btw... the phone has gyroscope and everything needed to do all this. Besides low RAM, it should be able to do anything, but im pretty sure old android version prevents me from more than RAM would

so.. is it safe? should i do it? is there chance i fuck up my phone and end up stuck with no OS?

I just had a massive system crash, gpu literally burned up and caused a crash.
I had a encrypted volume mounted ext3 or 4 cant remember. I dont have any reasonable way of checking if any damage is done to the files. I wasnt writing data during the crash moment but there could have been data pending due to ext4.

I have older backups avalible, but that would mean loosing a couple of hours work. Should i just concede and reformat the drive?

Has anyone gone from a normal 1080p display to a 2560x1080 ultrawide? I'm considering it, I don't have the system to comfortably run a 1440p display but I like the thought of a wide screen and more FOV

I did this year and it's comfy as fuck for media and even games as well. General use like browsing is much nicer too more space. I passed on 1440p due to price and performance impact it would have on my rig. Don't regret it.

So I'm building a server at work for data crunching massive amounts of data (up to 1.5 TB at a time). Our normal data crunching computers - which run Windows 10 with 512 GB RAM, two Titan X's, 2 CPU's (Intel, forget what kind, but they're good) aren't cutting it in terms of doing the work in a timely matter. One adjustment in the tweaking of a data set takes our computers about 5 minutes until we see the effects of the tweak.

So what I'm asking you all, is what equipment would be included in a data-processing server that could crunch these types of data sets? My budget is under $200K

how long before VR displays achieve 120 px/degree?

how are they measuring this?

we need dual ultrawide 5" 4K displays that wrap around your whole face
>>
>>57563130
>4k
why stop there? we can see more than that
>>
>>57563130

it'll take a lot more than 4k

i figure sitting a couple of feet in front of a 1920x1200 display... that's about 1920/30deg = 64px/degree (just horizontally)

we'll need a lot more than 4k on a head-mounted display that's 5cm in front of your eyes

Not rolling release, I'm not re-installing my OS once a year, and the built-in upgrade methods aren't perfect.

The repos without rpmfusion are quite small, and I feel rpmfusion doesn't have as good QA on packages. Even rpmfusion doesn't have as much packages compared to Arch or Gentoo.

Lots of stuff I don't want installed/enabled by default, and if I'm going to use a minimal netinstall, why aren't I just using Arch?

Packages are pretty up-to-date but not as much as Arch.

It's not a bad distro, it'd be my favorite behind Gentoo/Arch, it's just that Arch is a better binary distro for personal desktop use. I wouldn't use anything except Gentoo as my main desktop OS, or Arch for laptops.
