What.cd was very well known even outside the private tracker community, had hundreds of thousands of active members, and focused on music which is well known to be the most aggressive of copyright enforcers. Most other private trackers cap out around 30k users. They're not nearly as high priority of a target that What was.

The original article about the raid also mentioned that this was the culmination of two years of preparation, and the What staff members say that they didn't even manage to get a hell of a lot considering all that. You guys who are expecting the other high profile private trackers to start falling like dominoes really should calm down.
