bought an ATX motherboard, installed in a non-atx case with 4 instead of 6 standoffs.

Works fine. Should i be worried about shorts or anything that would affect the functionality of the pc if its missing one standoff at the bottom?

my non-atx case can only allow for one of the two on the ATX mobo

Newb here, could really use some help with this webdev-related thing

tl;dr:
- working on a simple client for NodeBB forum software for the sake of learning
- found this: https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-plugin-write-api
- discovered that mynodebbdomain.com/api/login will return a login token of some sort if I send user/pass in a POST request

That github page states that I can use some kind of bearer token or a JSON web token of some sort, but I'm not clear on how to interface my user's login with any of that. Obviously I can create a token manually for each user using the admin panel as per the github readme but that's pointless—I'm going for a functional client here which doesn't require admin intervention for each separate user

Anyone have any helpful tips etc.?
please respond, have yet another pepe

You're out of luck, sorry m8. Only low and meh tier automatics at that price.
>>
go ask the watch thread buddy.

That is a pretty awkward price range though. There is tons of stuff 400-900 USD more and a lot of stuff 600 USD less, but nothing really comes to mind in that range that stands out.

Hey /g/ how you doing.

Right now I'm upgrading my pc. Problem is this...

Will this be a problem in the long run? Is it a lot of loss in performance to place in slot 2?

I know I screwed up in buying this hog of a cooler, but I like air ones than the liquid kind...

Thanks in advance and good day to all of you.

With this usb kill getting popular can't you just protect yourself by turning off the USB charging function in the BIOS the locking your bios.
17 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Shit, my image is sideways
>>
No. It only uses the charging pins to, well, charge. It sends the power surge down the data pins which have no protection on most modern systems.
>>
>>58117984
But if the charging pins are disabled then it can't surge the data one

as far as I'm concerned, the major gripe against apple is underpowered/overpriced. in the case of the iPhone, it is overpowered/similarly or lower priced to other flagships.

is the argument then just 'you can get a cheaper nonflagship phone to do the same thing in a shittier yet satisfactory manner whilst trading your privacy'?

but seriously can we agree iPhone is the best possible smartphone?

>>
I know you're shitposting but the iPhone unironically is one of the only two phones on the market worth buying (the other being the Galaxy S7 Edge). Of course, both of these are sour grapes to the poor niggers who inhabit this board.
>>
You do realize that only extremely mentally ill (ie homosexuals) use iphones, right?
>>
>>58117503
The fact that it has NVMe storage makes it the only phone worth buying today. Jet Black 7+ or GTFO.

Bought the VG248 144 hz monitor after good reviews. Plugged into displayport with an R9 390, installed drivers, cranked it up to 144hz.

The top inch of the monitor is flicking like a motherfucker every second. Did I get memed?

I bought the RX 480 from Asus and I installed drivers from Asus website. They were horrible and laggy. Then I installed them from AMD site and they have been perfect ever since.

So that's my suggestion if you happen to have wrong drivers. Install them from AMD.

where is it niggers?

how much will it cost?

how powerful will it be?

>>58117303
They're waiting for the 490 to drop so they can drop prices on the 1080 and 1070 and slot the 1080Ti in at 1000$, which will then be taken to ~1600$ from the very low supply such an enormous chip will have.
