What was the best last Linux? For me it was Linux 7. 8 was a mess, but with Linux 8.1 they managed to at least speed it up a bit.
any laptop is suitable for programing
>3 messaging apps listed
Anyone have an updated version of this?

Poorfag here. I have a shitty mobile like this Nokia Asha and only earphones/headphones with no-mic work.
Also earphones with no-mic are near impossible to find these days. And I have an earphone that has mic and I need to constantly press the button the earphone to get the audio clear. If I take my finger off, the audio gets shitty.
How do I make my earphone with mic work on this pic related phone that only works with no-mic earphones?
Thanks for helping this poorfag.

I was thinking can I make my old Samsung Galaxy S2 to linux server? Could it run things like teamspeak etc. perhaps?
>>58530334
bump
>>58530334
Besides the fact that just no I don't think Teamspeak server can compile on ARM
Going to change my Nexus 5 and get a OnePlus 3T. What can I do with my old Nexus 5 besides selling it?
>>58530245
Stuff it with porn. Use it as porn phone.
I use my old phone as a server. Install a Linux chroot container.
You could just keep using it because a OnePlus is a downgrade.
Where do I learn to use tmux properly?
Why do you guys guys shill it so much?
While we're at it, what's the deal with Vim? Where do I learn to use that properly?
They both seem like powerful tools, especially when combined but I just can't seem to wrap my head around them.
>inb4 op is a faggot
>inb4 go back to windows
>etc etc etc
I'm trying to learn alright.
>>58530189
tmux is pointless unless you're running a text-only machine which you aren't
just open whatever amount of terminal windows you need
also vimtutor
>>58530219
>tmux is pointless unless you're running a text-only machine which you aren't
I hope to be able to operate at that level if necessary.
Honestly almost everything I do on my linux machine I prefer to do in the terminal over some other application.
Just about the only thing I don't use in the terminal is a web browser for what I hope are obvious reasons.
>>58530189
I started using tmux last semester working on shit on school machines remotely and it's just a lot more efficient in my case. Literally just google tmux cheat sheet. You'll get used to it.
WINDOWS 10 WON,
Tell me /g/, why do I need to dual boot? good by Linux partition.
>>58530098
Linux cucks don't even have paint. They can't even make a nice graphic like that.
> Windows shill
sage
>>58530098
Windows won decades ago, what are you talking about? are living in a basement?
>laugh at idiots who put tape over their webcam
>Zuckerberg puts tape over his webcam and microphone
What does he know that we don't?
he has plausible reason for concern. you don't.
it's still probably a best practice if you have privacy concerns.
his instagram nick rhymes with cuck
>>58530486
It also rhymes with luck.
Can we take a minute to appreciate this marvel of engineering?
Nah
it's absolute dogshit
>>58530171
Wrong.
Help /g/! I live in the Philippines and I noticed something strange about the SSL certs. A bit of a background; my country's El Presidente just ordered the censorship of several porn websites. Now that got me curious. I checked my SSL certificates and they were different from those listed on grc.com (https://www.grc.com/fingerprints.htm). What's happening here? Should I be worried about it? Maybe they changed their SSL certificate (I'm not sure how SSL certs work)? I'll get to the point, is there a possibility that an agency is intercepting connections of citizens in my country?

Am I the only one getting ridiculously slow load times on pictures hosted here, and sometimes not loading at all?
Hiro is a fag and a cheapskate. What else is new?
moot was the admin we didn't deserve, but the one we need right now.
No it's been happening for a while now
No, you're not.
Android, are you trying?
>needing performance on a phone
I just need it to take pretty pictures and not lag when playing LLSIF.
>>58529897
What's LLSIF
trains are super fast but they are useless outside of their prebuilt tracks. iOS is no different.
in any case, Android will never be faster due to the fact that all software is run by a Java runtime rather than compiled specifically for the hardware. that is, unless Apple's hardware starts sucking.
Fucking meme OS

> Bought chocolate and put it near my laptop
> After 2hrs i want to take a bite

I fell for the Gentoo meme, if i was a wincuck (or any other distro user) i wouldnt have that problem.
>>58529811
It's not gentoos fault you're retarded.
>>58529811
should've used the tarball over the iso
That's why you don't use unstable GCC versions.
What are your opinions on OS X?
Can Macs play most games now? This used to be a huge deterrent for me years ago. Also I'm no longer a poorfag and can afford something good like a 27 inch iMac with 32 GB of RAM.
>>58529796
>Can Macs play most games now?
No. Older games won't be ported apart from a few exceptions and most new games are still windows exclusive.
Mac isn't better than linux for gaming.
>>58529796
>search mac model you want
>look on youtube [game you're interested in] + [mac you're interested in]
>judge by yourself
that's what I always do before buying a computer
>>58529796
>games
You don't use a Mac for gaming, you manchild. Only productive people use Macs.
wow its nothing, literally higher clock rates and nothing else
>>58529745
But muh 1% improvmeent? Deftienly worth the upgrade.
Would have considered the new Intel Pentium, but without overclocking possibilities it's a no go.
>>58529745
Upgraded from 2600k to 3770k to 4770k to 5775c to 6700k and just placed the order for my 7700k. Can't fucking wait to get it.
Poorfags and NEETs stay jelly. You just don't have what it takes to stay on the cutting edge. (money lol)
