This picture just made me realize how retarded microsoft's naming system.
I got a boner for acoustic modems and related tech.
It's a shame almost nobody uses it anymore.
Enjoy!

>A. They're slow as fuck.
>B. No one has land line phones now.
>C. You can get wired broadband connections that do a million things better.
Real shame.

Yea but theres something cool and mysterious as fuck about exchanging data via channels meant for audio.
Telecommunication today is so easy and fast it's boring.

Good thing I've never ran it all that much nor as my main/primary distro, ever.
Currently USB installing Apricity Cinnamon to my 128 GB USB 3.1 USB for a persistent USB installation. Apricity's Cinnamon actually appears and feels quite nice tbqbhh familiams.
which monitor setup do you prefer
Who would seriously use the second method?
>>58523435
well I used the 2nd method before, and now I switched to 1 (facing my main monitor straight and I can turn to the left for my secondary) and it feels akward. guess I'll get used to it.
Having a 2nd monitor is a meme for most people. In the majority of cases a movie or a game looks better on 1 good monitor. Only on certain jobs for real work I can see a 2nd or a 3rd making sense.
I've deleted my entire music library and now I don't know what to listen to. Programming without anything playing in the background feels like a chore.
What does /g/ listen to when programming?
DUDE SYNTHWAVE LMAO

Faggots need not apply.
Lately I've taken to listening to bossa nova, thought typically I listen to classical, hiphop beats, or podcasts.
ITT everything about Usenet.
I am looking for a newsreader, how would you reate slrn ( + slrnpull + slrnface), trn and Pan? Something like slrn > trn > Pan.
Also, I've hear mutt can be a newsreader too. Same, how would you rate it compared to the others?
I too can be autistic sometimes.
>>58523216
fuck off
>>58523193
Is it possible to connect to usenet without paying for a service provider? Why can't I talk to NNTP news servers directly?
does anyone own it
is it good or just a meme
It's good for movies and porn, the games aren't particularly anything to write home about.

Why are Microsoft designers so bad?
Because they have no taste.
>>58523199
Lack of anime perhaps?
Do they not hire designers?
This is software that costs hundreds of dollars. Then again, Microsoft never had their own design language. They tried with Windows Phone to make this disgusting lowercase text based thing, but it looked awful so they changed it.
I'm doing a Mega Man game for TempleOS. Anyone wanna work on it with me? Sprites, levels, ideas, etc. anything is welcome!

How hard would it be to engineer a GPU for an M.2 slot? It could be sold as an upgrade to laptops.
If you can fit it on an m.2 card. You can fit it on the CPU. CPU at least has a heatsink.
>>58522966
it would HAVE to be a pcie m.2 slot, not a sata m.2 slot.
and then you would have to figure out how to power and cool the fucker because m.2 isn't rated for that much current
>>58523102
>and then you would have to figure out how to power and cool the fucke

What is good clothing to wear when programming
>>58522635
Yeah I've tried doing the whole ipconfig /renew steps to fix it and it spits out this error. "An error occurred while renewing interface Ethernet : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out." DHCP is definitely turned on in the router, I checked.
To add though, if I try going to the router address (192.168.1.1) it tries to point me to the LuCI OpenWRT login instead and the Linksys Smart Wifi thing simply says it's unavailable. I'm thinking that maybe the flash from OpenWRT to OEM was dirty in someway and there is a weird conflict occurring between the two. This might be nothing however.
