Holy shit, apple blew up a plane?
isis must be blushing right now
oh look, the clickbait wave from the samshit note 7 is still going
come back when the itoy gets an official recall
What the FUCK is going on with the pricing of Kaby Lake chips? They're LITERALLY trying to sell an i3 for £183 which is fucking high-end i5 pricing territory. Who the fuck is going to buy this shit? You could get a way better i5-6500 or i5-7400 for the EXACT same price, or a 6600k for ~£20 more. Meanwhile you've got the Pentium G4560 which is completely killing intel's own i3 line, dominating the price/performance ratio by giving you practically i3-6100 performance for £65. Even the i5 prices look weird when you place them next to the fucking £65 Pentium G4560, which can easily drive a RX 480 or GTX 1060 just fine.
In short, intel have driven their own i3 line into redundancy by releasing a £65 CPU that is only marginally worse than a £183 CPU, while also keeping the i5's at roughly the same price.
The 7350K is a meme. It has the same performance per clock as the i3 6100 which can also be overclocked to nearly the same speed on the same Z170 motherboards. It also costs half as much.
A few things. Shit's always at a premium early in the product life cycle. Normies feel expensive = best. Finally, AMD's continued incompetence has left intel with a near monopoly so they can do what they wants and people will still buy it.
tl;dr blame normalfags and AyyMD
>>58534561
the 7350K is as faster than the i5 6400 and i5 4670K due to vastly superior stock clocks and 4.9~5ghz overclocks.
It's been wildly reported the past few months.
>that screen on time
>that battery size compared to the competition
Is iPhone/iOS the most efficient mobile platform currently on the market?
No.
depends on how you measure efficiency.
JS performance? Android is BTFO so badly you couldn't piece the corpse back together.
battery life? there are Android phones which perform way better.
>>58534552
how the fuck is iPhone so poor in call time minutes?
Does the screen stay on or something? Fucking Siri listening in the background uploading you conversations to NSA?
Am I the only one that gets triggered badly by this?? Whatever happened to buying software? Now you are paying over $100 per annum to hire their product. I can understand this for corporations but for individual users? Do they WANT people to use pirated software??!
Oh and also we need you to have a Microsoft account to use this product.
>>58534498
>what is LibreOffice?
>>58534498
>Am I the only one that gets triggered badly by this??
i'm sure there are communities of incompetent worthless faggots who somehow can't afford (or be given) an office license and simultaneously can't grok python, R, and/or latex.
but you're at the intersection of two sets: poverty and stupidity. nobody is eager to help you.
>>58534498
>Am I the only one that gets triggered badly by this??
Yes.
Do you think 4chan is gratis software you're running locally? Do you think you're downloading Google Search or Youtube when you use them?
I don't live by anyone else. How do I know what this computer is/kick him the fuck off
Maybe you should secure you're WAP next time.

is there any actual language, usable on the web, with some gui libs, maybe has some jobs, super fast and not filled with crap?
and if any of you mofos say angular or nodejs I'm going to put pubes in your lunch
(python - slowing down in popularity, SLOW - fuck yall with cpython, fucking gorgeous, django - kek)
(go - no libs, no jobs, no gui libs, just webservers and shit)
(ruby - I HAVE NEVER MET A PERSON THAT USED IT, no jobs whatsoever in yurop)
(c++ - real language, messed up by legacy, a lot of junk in it, sockets - no way man)
(java - just no, I need to finish shit, has C++like legacy issues)
(scala - fake java, let's take 2 lines of java and shove them into 1 line)
(ASP.NET - Visual Studio junk, a lot of stuff is slow with this)
(PHP - tankfully it's dying out)
Web assembly will save us.
C#

Xojo Web is probably the nicest, most integrated webdev experience I've ever had. It has some drawbacks and limitations and is really best suited to web "apps" and not just mere content management. But holy fuck you use one language with a tight debugger and get 100% AJAX / interactive pages without any of the glue code or overhead of other solutions.
Problem is it has a smaller user base so not a lot of jobs.
iOS users on suicide watch

How painful is running Slackware in 2017? I'm mostly worried by the lack of packages and tons of manual work.
After 4 years running Arch I want to try something new.
I tried it last year and didn't have any problems

Hello Morgan
Computer science student here and I'm piss for brains stuck on this
So we need to create a loop that makes the blank spaces before the /
then the spaces after the / and the __/
Any Java programmers here able to help me out?
Email is [email protected] if that helps
First of all, that's a horrible description of the problem you need solved.
Second, this is not a homework help forum. Take this bullshit to some other site where it actually belongs you retard. Nobody here is going to want to help you.

This is more math than code
Think about which index the slash appears and how you can make a sequence of those indices
Now fuck off
I'm making a website and I want to be able to make HTML elements which will hide themselves once it's a certain day (ie. I want elements that will "expire")
Anyone know how I would go about achieving this? Probably something with javascript?
Let's see them armpits and then we can talk
>>58533957
Use the Date class and a CSS display:none style
>>58533957
>>58534126
its install gentoo you massive faggot
OP, you're doing it wrong, you will hung up at every corner, just go learn xml basics, then html5, static css3, and javascript basic
should take you a week, then you can make your website in a day, your step-by-step problem solving will have you 2 months learning nothing and accomplishing very little
Because somehow we didn't have one today yet.
I'm using Iridium browser and it's great, but it randomly breaks sites like Amazon, Instagram or even Urban Dictionary. Is there anything that can be done or does it just shoot itself in the foot with its built-in features?
Alternatively, what's the best Chromium fork that removes as much of the botnet as possible?
What exactly is the "2.6 GHz quad-core i7" in the new MBPs? I can't find the specific model # of the processor, they just have that description
Why do some people put std:: before cout in c++? It works without it?

I'm not going to try to rationalize the fact that this dude is a better programmer than me by calling him an autist.
Looking at his linkedin program, this kid has probably accomplished more in his short life than thousands of /g/ lurkers have accomplished in theirs.
I guess good for him, but before you use him to troll /g/ or whatever, keep in mind that career-wise he's better than you, or that he has higher potential than you.
I have empty SSD plugged in, DVD with Windows 10 Edu on desk and paranoia from /g/ talking about Win 10.
However, I also have PC at work that runs Win 10 (Pro) and I didnt ran into all those problems people report here so far - no setting
resets, no ads after I disabled "suggestions", no apps reinstalling themselves after I got rid of them, very fast searching after I
disabled Cortana and her web searching. It required setting up things in Group Policy, tho, I wont lie that it was like that right out of
the box.
More than that, whenever I ask about those things OUTSIDE of /g/, Im getting told "stop listening to everything /g/ tells you" as if they
know where I found those revelations. Few times I asked some curious anons here to actually test Win 10 activity and they didnt found
anything more than was was already described by MS, among other places in https://technet.microsoft.com/en-
us/itpro/windows/manage/manage-connections-from-windows-operating-system-components-to-microsoft-services
And especially no traces of infamous screenshoots packages that russian hackers were presenting on their "preview version" videos.
That makes me really think and I ask this question:
Memes aside, could it be that I was just trolled by /g/? Is this one big meme from "Free Software" guys?
Win 10 is totally okay.
It has its problems like the stupid new settings menus that have the new design but lack functionality and only make the real settings (which are taken from Vista directly) harder to find, the IMHO worse (than 7) start menu and the failing sleep mode on my laptop (stays on, but in a broken state, black screen, needs reset).
It's not perfect but its by far not as shitty as osx
>>58533567
From my work experiences and laptop experiences with Win 8.1, I consider this a direct improvement, yet not as intuitive as Win7 Im posting from right now.
But it have 6 years and is already partially broken (like Windows Update that had to be turned off after failed attempts to fix it manually since it was freezing in the background and eating whole 1 core of CPU).
Plus, Edu comes without Cortana already and with no suggestions at all (MS specify that Edu is Enterprise with adjustements for uni orientated users, hence the disabled Cortana or non invasive Shop).
Not to mention that Im living in Poland and MS likes to forget we even exist.
So it is true - I was memed?
