You can fine unofficial builds for most devices including all Nexus devices as far back as the nexus 5 (maybe older I honestly have not checked). But there likely won't be much more feature development I'm Nougat since now, for legal reasons, they have to spend hundreds of man hours stripping any copyrighted code and trademarks off of CyanogenMod source. Essentially they're doing CentOS-like development for a major version until they can get back to the original goal. To make Android better than Google and put more power back into the users hands.
