Ryzen is pretty average at non-gaming related programs, you should worry for amd fans killing themselves
>down almost 3%
Kek, it's you AMDrones who need the suicide prevention hotline.
Ok the embargos been lifted for 16 minutes. Wheres a non biased amd review?!

> 4/8, just like all Intel chips that are easily sweet spots, they easily beat the 4/4 chips for gaming and other regular Desktop applications, but also they are either better than 6/12+ chips for those uses or marginally lower which means better performance/cost ratios
> today's benchmarks prove the 8/16 Ryzens are clearly not a sweet spot for gaming. Those apps are not a niche. Any interactive application is mathematically hard to be parallelized, not just games and it will remain like that for 10+ years at least.
> AMD fucks up yet again, releasing 8/16 chips first for promotion, Intel waits for 1 year at least before they release their "-E" lines
>>59199326
then R5 1400X should have a base clock of 4.2Ghz and turbo frequency of 4.5 Ghz to complete with 7700k
>>59199422
And it might! And it should be cared by AMD to have that. Do you think Intel's 8/16 chips are good overclockers? They are shit.
AMD just fucks up. They should first promote the 4/8s. And bin them to have 4.5+ like Intel does.
Intel knows what the fuck they are doing. 8/16 is a shitty start when everyone looks at gaming.
What a fucking disappointment

Hi, I've downloaded several books from Scribd, however I cannot figure out how to open them. The file format that Scribd supposedly uses is iPaper, which is a modified Shockwave Flash/PDF combination.
Any suggestions on how to read these files besides the Scribd reader or how to convert these to say PDF.
Thanks so much!
Change the file extension

Tried, doesn't work.
ITT:People who knew Ryzen is going to be garbage since begining
Everyone

Everyone except poor indian amdtards
I didn't think it was going to be garbage, but I thought that AMD's marketing was too good to be true and there had to be some reason Ryzen would score so well in the benchmarks AMD showed, but not perform as well in more real world scenarios. It still looks like a mixed bag.

Is there a better way for CF/SLI than blower style cards(other than costum loop which is pretty which reqiures more money and work)
I used to have a HD6970 Cf setup which was fine but loud at times, then tested 2 R9 290x with aftermarket fans and they just suffocated each other(despite having good airflow) since both blew hot air into the case
I was thinking of say 2 R9 390x (since they are pretty cheap atm) one aftermarket cooled, one hybrid watercooled. Would this work better than both cards dumping thier hot air into the case? If so which card would be on top and which on the bottom.
The reason I brought this two cards as example is cause my mobo can do CF but not SLI. I have no preference, owned both Nvidia and AMD cards depending on which seemed good value at the time of purchase
Also general SLI/CF general
>>59198631
blower cards really are the best option before jumping into water cooling
with crossfire/sli you just kind of have to live with noise, because to get good temps youre gonna have blower cards running at high rpm
>>59198838
That's how far I got, which sucks because if the game utilizes CF/SLI decently two few year old card can be on par or better than the current high end offering.
Based on what benchmarks I saw 2 390x could outperform a 1080ti and can be had for like Ł450
ouch

Not gonna lie, former AMD buyer here. It has been hilarious watching these guys crash and BSOD. But seriously we can't let them get more FPS.
What a joke. AMD fanboys are the worst. I like how they went from 'LE HYPETRAIN HAS NO BRAKEZ ;D!' to 'i-it's not mean for g-gaming!'

the only news you should care about is hackernews
So lads I have an interview tonight with the department manager of an IT company for a junior sysadmin job. Now, they're saying my resume is kind of weak (no shit) but that they're going into big data and have abandoned all hope of finding someone with experience, which is great for me.
What am I in for, /g/? Is that their way of saying I'll be on the phone with Pajeet & Co all day?

good luck anon

Prepare some stories about when you rose to the occasion and learned new tech to solve a problem. They will likely ask about just that to make sure you're the kind of person who land on your feet
Just say "it is my understanding that [...]" a lot so you can never be accused of being wrong, because that was your current understanding at the time, and you are always seeking more up-to-date information.
which is more powerful gtx 1080 ti or human eye
Human eye ti
A question. Since the 1080 ti is coming out next week, my question is.
Is it worth it to buy it instead of the 1080?
Even in 4 years, will there be a game in which the regular 1080 won't play in ultra? Or is the 1080 TI overkill?
>>59198466
If prices are actually at $699, it's worth it over a normal 1080.
Most 1080s are sitting at 600 right now anyways.
Spend an extra 100 and get a better GPU
