E8400 standing by. I can watch h264 1080p videos on this old buddy. Sadly the cpu cooler started making periodic noises, so I will have to replace it with my spare akasa apache. Also another sign of wearing is 1 weak sector on my second HDD. Not bad from a rig made in 2008.

GTX 950 is based off the GM206 GPU, it has 768 shaders, 48 texture units, and 32 raster output processors; packaged with 2gb of GDDR5 memory connected through a 128 bit bus. It runs at a baseclock of 1024mhz and will hit 1188mhz on turbo. This works out to 1824 gflops of FP32 performance.
GTX 1050 is based off the GP107 GPU, it has 640 shaders, 40 texture units, and 32 raster output processors; again packaged with 2gb of GDDR5 memory connected through a 128 bit bus. But it runs at a baseclock of 1354mhz and will hit 1455mhz on turbo. This gives 1862 gflops of FP32 performance.
While comparing gflop to gflop is not a good way to compare different architectures, the relative similarities of Maxwell and Pascal make direct comparisons feasible. I should note that due to a longer pipeline that mispredictions and misretrievals have long penalties in Pascal, lowering overall IPC. This is offset with the superior clockrate that non-planar transistor's superior electrostatics allow.

I recently upgraded from a 560 to a 1070, eight after my boot times worse nd and my Pc made a very strange noise during the boot process, everything else worked fine for a out a week, but now everytime I boot my Pc up, it works fine then crashes in about 30 minutes.
What happened?

I'm not a computer genius, but I want to figure out if my computer is capable of playing games such as Overwatch, rocketleague, and battlefield 1. It is a "HP ENVY dv7 Notebook PC". It has a quad core processor specifically "AMD A10-4600M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.30 GHz". It is also uses a 64 bit OS and has 8 GB of RAM, but only 7.46 are usable. Is this good enough to run these games smoothly.

these have further folders in them for more specific things, like "Videos/Movies" for movies, or "Pictures/Explicit" for porn

Looking to power Rti A1 Polk Speakers
I have an SMSL 160, it puts out 150 watts per channel. The thing has always had this awful whine when no sound is playing and it completely ruins the tone when im switching songs or the sound stops in a game
I'm considering getting a Creative Soundblaster x7, pic related. Found on Massdrop for $300, has all the specs I want. Thing is, max output is 50w and optimal is 35.
I never even turned my SMSL up to 50% volume, but a drop from 150w to 50 sounds drastic. Could I be fucking up my speakers with such low wattage? 20-120 is the range for the speakers but I want to be able to blast it without fear.
Do I buy?
