hmmm? why not whats wrong with pre-ordering a 1080ti? r u talking about potential issues with the GPU being DOA/faulty? i agree that if you can buy it from local retail stores then that is usually the way to go however, since it has already sold out in basically 1 hour of pre-order theres no way you can expect these to stay on the shelf at a retail stores. the lines and purchases will be black friday levels

Waitfag here, so with R7 being pretty awful for gaming and R5/R3 launching in Q2 I've reconsidered building a gaymen rig with a FX-8350, 16GiB of RAM and RX 480 8GiB. I only want to play games in 1080p and shitpost. Am I retarded or just a brainlet? Other options also welcome, please help me /g/

Downloading a large file and a small file does not affect transfer speed.
Spending 5 minutes instead of 2 minutes to put on a movie is rarely affecting you unless you didn't pull it down before you gathered everyone.
And even then, 2 minutes gets bit embarrassing.
File size only matters when you talk about storage.
So if you hoard TV series in BR, you have to buy more drives. But for movies? It doesn't matter.

Are you memeing or can't you really see the fact that ryzen is literally perfect for productivity? 8/16 for $400 and beats everything in productivity environment. If your aim is to get 500fps instead of 300 in your gaymen, you should just get i3 or i5. Why are you even following 8c/16t CPUs in the first place?

Tesla thread. Post anything Tesla/self driving car related.
I must admit I don't think I trust the claims that the Tesla autopilot is safer than a human driver just yet. It looks promising, but there are many variables to consider, like will it age well? How will it perform amongst other self driving cars? Naturally, people will tamper with the vehicle for whatever reason as well, and the resulting accident could be extreme if the driver is not able to take control of the vehicle in time to minimise the damage.
Also, could you imagine budget chinese self driving cars and especially replacement parts in the distant future, where poor people drive them too?

the #1 reason for accidents on the road are human errors lol. Did you ever hear about car accidents my dude?! Is this a shitty bait?!
Of course it is safer.
if we all had Teslas there'd virtually no more deaths on the road anymore because the car can predict accidents BEFORE they even happen.
Inb4 link to tesla death. Well that guy fell asleep and he didnt use the tier 5 autopilot obviously.
As of right now the car still requires you to stay in full alert mode with your hands on the steering wheel cause it can break out of auto comfy ride at any time. The tier 5 autopilot isnt even approved yet.
