How do I create a persistent debian usb out of three dvd isos I have? Google didn't have an answer.
Write best ISO to a second USB/DVD drive
Boot from that
Install OS on first USB drive.

Debian doesn't support that AFAIK.
Use ubuntu LTS, almost the same.
Hey /g/uys, I need some help of yours.
I'm buying new printer (with scanner) and I'm really confused between
Brother DCP-J315W
Brother DCP-J105
Can someone explain me the difference? Pros and cons, etc.
They look so similiar that I dont understand why 105 is more expensive and more popular
help please... :/
The DCP-J105 is a little newer, but objectively they're more or less the same. Comparing specs from the website, J105 supports wireless N, has more monochrome nozzles and more memory. Oh, and the black ink cartridge is way bigger:
http://support.brother.com/g/b/spec.aspx?c=eu_ot&lang=en&prod=dcpj315w_eu_as
http://support.brother.com/g/b/spec.aspx?c=as_ot&lang=en&prod=dcpj105_all
If the DCP-J315W is cheaper (and really is the W model as there are non-wifi versions) then you wouldn't be missing out on much if you get it. My guess is that the J105 is more popular for doing a lot of mono printing and because all models have wifi.

Did you know you can now buy a 2D + 3D all in one printer for less than 1000 euros?
Then you can print shota hentais and dragon dildos at the same time

Is it under threat by gimmicks and shit? Apple clearly is with their recent follys (see touchbar macbook, Siri is still shit past the point of setting an alarm or creating a reminder etc), but will our beloved pretty macOS completely die with the mac line?
>>59232295
I think that with all the tech celebrities and actual MacBook Pro professional users(see: not retarded college students) shitting on the new mbp, they might actually reconsider their design decisions after releasing a product inferior to the 2015 model in every way but the trackpad.
Clearly the form factor and I/O has been rebuffed by the tech community, 2015 models are getting absurdly difficult to find while used 2016 models are flooding used retail platforms like eBay. It was an inferior release in every way that ended up costing them market share.
>>59232396
I'm worried apple are too proud to go back on it. It's like they're marketing a tacky toy to wannabe music producers instead of a versatile PC.

Amongst many issues, if you lose a connection while in a playlist or a station, or anything, it completely forgets what you were listening to.
How well does your computer run applications under 100% load?
For example if you were to encode a video with x264, or compile a large C program, you should be using 100% of your processor on all cores.
Can you smoothly move around windows on your desktop like that? Can you run games or OpenGL programs smoothly? The Linux kernel has a lot of options related to this and I've been changing options in the kernel for years looking for the best config.
>>59229468
>I've been changing options in the kernel for years looking for the best config
Well before you waste years experimenting with stupid shit you should educate yourself on the basics, because encoding videos and compiling stuff are tasks that don't even grow properly horizontally. You don't get to use 100% of all your cores by doing that stuff.
>>59229468
For me everything starts to lag when CPU's at 100%. I also get freezes when my RAM fills up and swap is being tried to be used.
Anyone got any solution for that? Arch here.
>>59229525
>Well before you waste years experimenting with stupid shit
Changing config options in the kernel isn't stupid shit.
> encoding videos and compiling stuff are tasks that don't even grow properly horizontally. You don't get to use 100% of all your cores by doing that stuff.
htop shows constant 100% cpu usage on all cores when compiling with GCC, or encoding with x264.
not sure if this is the right board but i need some help.
I'm looking to make some documentaries about local people. Nothing too crazy, just want to get a feel for people living their lives in different areas.
I need to buy a video camera as well as possibly some microphones/boons.
I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money as i'm a poorfag.
I know some DSLR's now have pretty solid video features. What are some lower end cameras that I could buy to get the ball rolling?
Price points would be appreciated. I'm looking to save up about a grand for everything. Thanks dudes.
pic unrelated, some old film shit i took
/p/ is better suited to your question.
If you want steadicam like shots then some of the Olympus omdb models have great image stabilization. Variety of lenses too.
>>59229428
okay thanks man just posted over there
>>59229404
Before people start nagging you about it, try your question in one of these threads. /p/ gets uppity when people make new threads asking for equipment advice.
Video General >>>/p/3024985
Gear General >>>/p/3029362
If you want to go on the cheap, try a Micro 4/3 camera with a kit lens for general use. Then look for old manual lenses for your more static shots (ie. sit-down interviews) You can get some older Olympus PEN models for under $150
Get a separate audio recorder for sound ... use the on-board camera audio to help sync up your good sound.
