Hey /g/ I'm technologically retarded and need some help.
I have a prebuilt PC that I want to connect to this monitor that I have. But my PC only has two DVI connections, no HDMI or VGA. So I figured I would get a DVI to HDMI adapter cable to plug it in, but it doesn't work.
Why? The DVI plug goes to the PC and the HDMI goes to the screen. Screen model is Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD.
Its not the cable since I've tried 3 different types, two different monitors and also no signal. The DVI to VGA connection works since I've used it before but how come DVI to HDMI wont work?

When I build my PC dvi and VGA did not work for me, only HDMI. I fixed it by installing the drivers.

Um, the two aren't the same ... they're both types of attacks on your computational equipment but they are not the same. One involves your equipment getting breached (someone else having control over your system) and the other involves you being unable to reach the Internet through that connection.
What makes you think you've been hacked/DDoS'd? Also, which is it? DDoS or a system compromise?

Hi i built my pc maybe two months ago and 2 weeks after i noticed if i restart it it'll freeze 1 second-5 minutes later after turning it back on im not sure how i usually get it to run normally but the key is to NOT turn it off but i want to resolve this issue anyone know how?

Hey guys, can anyone give me a hand with relational algebra? I'm shaky with MySQL as is.
I have four tables;
Suppliers(S#, SNAME, STATUS, CITY)
Parts(P#, PNAME, COLOR, WEIGHT, CITY)
Jobs(J#, JNAME, CITY)
and SPJ(S#, P#, J#, QTY) which is a table which represents shipments of parts from suppliers to jobs. S, P, and J are all foreign keys to their respective tables.
I need to find a relational algebraic statement that returns the names of projects that have at least a red part sent to them.
Currently, I've selected the red parts and have them in a subset of red parts.
Red_Parts ← σcolor=”Red” (P)
Red_Sent ←
I don't know how to select tuples from SPJ that contain tuples in red_parts. I know from there I have to project just the name. Would it be as easy as performing an intersection on SPJ and Red_Parts or do I have to do a join?

Use an embedded SQL query.
Also, unless I don't understand quite properly what your structure is, I'll give you some advice:
SELECT JNAME FROM Jobs WHERE...
Join on SPJ table with primary key
Join to Parts table
Select from Parts
Use Where clause on color
Using Join is your best option.

For clarification SPJ is a table that lists the supplier, the part and the job it's going to, along with the quantity. It exists as it's own relation.

What are you planning on using it for?
If you just want regular media consumption, get an iPad, if you want more productivity stuff on the side, get a Surface or cheaper Windows tablet. If you want the equivalent experience of torture with the least amount of software and features, get an Android tablet.
