do smart phones make better ereaders than actual ereaders? should i just get a smart phone?
>>60788772
>ereaders
just buy a book you nigger
Phones are with you everywhere, not an extra thing to carry.
Phones are always connected, to add new books.
You can read in the dark.
Ereader screens are easier on the eyes.
Easier to read outdoors in the sun.
Angry Birds isn't a tap away.
What's the deal with Ryzen and RAM? Is it true that it only works at higher frequencies when "approved" by the motherboard manufacturers? Why is nobody mentioning this in threads?
>>60788720
>what is agesa
>>60788720
Pretty much fixed for almost a month now.
The latest BIOS updates give you proper access to subtimings
>>60788720
>Is it true that it only works at higher frequencies when "approved" by the motherboard manufacturers
No it's just difficult for motherboard manufacturers to optimize for all types of RAM when AMD has to give them the code
Took me a few BIOS updates until I was finally able to hit 2933 on my 3000mhz RAM
>Been getting a white screen telling to update android on my phone for like maybe 2 weeks now
>Always press not now cause theres no fuck off option
>This time I just get a black screen that won't give me a not now option

Wtf were they thinking?
When you have brand name, mindshare, and marketing you don't have to think, at least not for a while.
>>60908405
They weren't expecting threadripper to come out let alone have 64 lanes available across all SKUs, and thought that they could get away with fleecing us even more.
wtf I love intel now?
is this a rip off of a macbook and a thinkpad?
>>60788397
That is the ugliest piece of shit I've ever seen.
And /g/ posts ugly shit all the time.
>>60788397
I had like 3 or 4 of dem fuckers, e-z 2 fix, nice and cheap, good bang for the buck...
The only downside are the bios, they are locked as fuck, cant use nothing via the other mini pci-e slot, doesnt let you do much.
Fuck the cuckbook & HP for doing that shit.
FOR REAL.
>>60788397
It's basically a Thinkpad for people trying to save a buck. My high school had these in bulk. They're ok but not as good as Thinkpad.

Kali Linuxâ„¢
>that feel when going back to Windows 7 after using Linux for a month
Everything is so polished and professional-looking, it just werkz, and it's a pleasure to use rather than a chore. Linux is for fucking masochistic nerds with absolutely zero eye for design or aesthetic.
good thread

Don't Sully satania with your low quality bait threads.
>>60908044
Satania and low quality go hand in hand.
Reminder not to use Google's search engine. I searched "twitter bans bitcoin profile federal reserve" and Google did not show correct result revealing Twitter's censorship. I put the same search item into searx.ch and received the relevant result in first place.
Also, searx.ch allows for searching archive.is and other engines since it's a meta search engine.
>>60787466
not defending qny of these kikes, but that site in the first result doesnt appear to be somewhat reputable
i agree, a search engine should find it and not push an agenda, but meh
What's the best mp3 player in terms of storage capacity and battery life?
Don't recommend my phone, because I need something compact and small.
>>60787398
iPod Classic's the best storage wise, I don't know of any other players that support 1TB.
So..this is the true power of Linux, huh?
Why is cooking PCs such a chore?
I can never get the perfect balance of noise/heat ratio. And not to mention all fans have LGBT lights on them.
>>60787203
Cooling*
>>60787203
For properly cooking your PC, I recommend upgrading to an Intel Core i7-7700k and overclocking with a stock cooler.

TL;DR
- screen tearing been goon on for months
- chrome PDF viewer keeps not working
- a few times a day websites randomly crash
- got this pic custom made in 2013/12?
- got blue screen one other time when watching a video, but PC restarted before I could look what happend
Probs forgetting some shit, long story short I don't wanna ruin my pc or even worse lose my pictures + other stuff.
Also I have cleaned the tower only once and it was with a swifee was to autistic to by air can.
Anyways, I restarted in safe mode my shits still there so I restarted. Currently botting runescape and just busted twice to some porn and /soc/ girls. Screen tearing is bad know ESP during videos.
Wat do ?
How about you take a fucking picture of the bugcheck so we can tell you which of your shitty drivers is dying

Have you turned it off and on again? What botting program are you using? Has it only started happening since you've been running the botting program?
After seeing Applel pass up yet again on updating the Mac Mini, I'm thinking about building a hackintosh. Anyone have any experience building a hackintosh before?
Found this build on /r/hackintosh that looks about the budget I'm aiming for:
Gigabyte GA-H110N, i3-6100, 8GB, though I'm considering bumping up the gfx to something that could do video editing or light gayming.

Are hybrid harddrives worth getting over standard hard drives? Or is there performance similar enough to a standard hard-drive that they are not worth using?
>>60907955
They are basically just a hard drive with a small SSD in the same case. But you don't get to pick what goes on that SSD in most cases the hard drive does it for you by seeing what you use most. So to answer your question, no. It's actually cheaper to buy a hard drive and a SSD separately, for what you are actually getting.
The one in my laptop was shit and the HDD kept spooling up and down whenever the computer was idle for longer then half a second. Annoying as shit.
>>60907981
Its slightly less to buy a firecuda then buy a separate SSD and HDD but not by much.
What SSD brands are OK?
