Shills gotta pay the bills.
what do apple think our eyes are made of?
>i can't take it anymore
>mfw no ios11 dark mode
>>60774926
Perhaps can be implemented in a 11.x update, like what they did with Night Shift.
Android 8.0 will be shit too, they decided to make everything white
>>60775569
if it will be like night shift update then iphone 6 might not get "dark theme support" because they didn't give iphone 5 night shift even though it got updates to iOS 10
>>60775877
No reason they'd make it exclusive. Night Shift requires a bit more graphical power since it remder the generic display's colors, then brings it through a filter. The iPhone 5 wouldn't be able to keep a decent framerate or would start to lag in general.
A dark mode doesn't require more resources. It just has a different color for the UI elements.
how is everyone defragging their compiled syntax shells? i cant seem to decode them
any ideas?
Try using your I/O Controller and programming it so it only displays kernal errors
>>60774885
its still not part of the market though

Right now I have very old PC, like 5+ years, since I got it, I only upgraded GPU. PC has old gigabyte motherboard with LGA775 slot and Intel q9550 quad processor, 750W power supply, 6gb DDR2 RAM and GTX 660 GPU with 3gb memory. So I want to buy new motherboard with new cpu and ddr4 ram. My budget is around 400-500 euros, and I want to spend ~250 euros on the CPU. My goal is to use PC for gaming, streaming and creating 3d modeling content. I'm deciding between Intel i5-7600k and Ryzen 5. On the one hand Intel is good and reliable, but on the other, Ryzen looks very promising. And if choosing between Ryzen 1600 and 1600x, I like 1600 more because it comes with a not bad CPU Cooler, since I have very shitty and old cooler which I will have to upgrade too. Which manufacturers are the best at making b350 motherboards and DDR4 RAM, also what frequency RAM I need for Ryzen? Thank you for help.

Thank you for making this thread. I asked this in another thread but this is where it's most appropriate
I have a t420 coming and am wondering if getting a msata SSD is worth it. I was planning on getting a cheap 32gb one just to boot from, replacing the regular drive with a SSD and placing the old drive in a caddy. Also does anyone know if replacing the i5 with an i7 is worth the 40 bucks? Or will it be so marginal that I'm better off just keeping the i5?
>>60907048
if you mean the dual-core i7 then no it would not be worth it at all
a quad-core i7 would have a significant performance boost though, but how much performance you need is up to you
and you should abandon the old drive, do not stick an HDD in your laptop they are shit
>noise
>power consumption
>reliability
just get a big SSD
>>60907082
I kinda wanted to keep the old drive just for redundancies but I see what you are saying.
what technology do you use to heat your home /g/? i'm thinking about setting up several old near-free GPUs and start mining ethereum during the winter. i am inspired by this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjP5ekChJJ0
hell i would even use my old laptops if they werent horribly power hungry.
you'll mine a millionth of a bitcoin
>>60774012
>bitcoin
please dont derail my thread, i didn't talk about buttcoin. GPUs are actually good for ethereum
so something got stuck under my w key and I tried to remove it but in the process removed the key the 2 pieces with it and the little nub. how can I fix this please help
>>60773973

>>60773973

>and the little nub

Is there anything like Firefox's tree style tabs in Chrome? Or a better way to manage lots of tabs?
i tried that recently but gave up and went to palemoon
chromium/chrome just isn't suitable for people who use a lot of tabs
if you liked firefox but don't like their current direction, palemoon seems to be the way to go
How do I use it to full effect?
I wanna ditch windows explorer search, but some folders/files don't show up when I use Launchy. How do you guys set up yours?
Is the Galaxy J3 Prime (2017) even worth the free offer from Metro-PCS?
>>60773536
Free with contract? Absolutely not
It's similar to an S3 Neo with an even worse camera.
Everything over ~$90 would be overpriced
>>60773688
The offer is free with required account port in. They sell it for $159.99 reg.
>>60773738
You will get way better devices for that, but if it's completely free and you won't be tied to something, why not
What is it? Is CentOS linux a meme?
>>60773267
It's RHEL without the Red Hat logo or a support contract. That's it. It's slower-moving than Debian and supported approximately forever. It's great for things you just want to set up and then not have to worry about for a year or three.
So I just replaced my 6 foot headphone cable with a 4 foot OFC cable and now everything sounds louder. Not clearer but louder, and I'm talking like maybe a 10-15% increase in volume.
The fuck is going on?
>>60773080
Less resistance in the cable, I guess.
Are you sure you're not imagining it?
