Okay guys I just flashed lineage os latest nightly on my old Samsung note 3 and I must say it is looking great. I was just wondering what apps and modules / kernels I can use to make this old phone blazing fast and not to mention the camera had to be top tier and so does the battery. What are some lightweight lockscreen, launchers and browser? Thanks so much in advance you guys
>>60806072
>lock screen launchers
gtfo pleb
lurk XDA more
and you can't really expect top tier camera quality unless note 3 has dedicated devs who tweaked the camera HAL or proper camera blobs from Samsung, so again lurk note 3 XDA threads more
as for tweaks and modules you'll have to again lurk XDA even more
I suggest you just flash the most popular rom (ie. threads with most views) in either Android development or Original Android development.
pure LOS usually doesn't have as much tweaks and optimizations as other LOS based roms.

as for browsers I use lighting browser, it's open sourced and is faster than chrome. however you can't have more than 10 tabs, so that's a con
A few years ago, we noted how the FTC had found Dish Networks guilty of violating the federal Do Not Call registry repeatedly. According to the original FTC notice, Dish ignored consumer opt out preferences around 55 million times via an auto-mated robo call system. Initially, it looked like Dish would be looking at $24 million in fines from the DOJ and four states for the violations, after shelling out $5.99 million to 46 states for the offense back in 2009.
Now, a Judge has declared that Dish will have to pay significantly more -- as in $280 million.
Good, fuck these spam faggots.
Can I mine Ethereum on this?
Seems like a better idea than spending $400+ for an RX570. I'll at least have a monster of a card to go with the cost of it.

Just buy it directly
Hello /g/
first of all i'm going to say that my request is pretty dumb, and i'm aware of it, but those are money i am willing to waste.
I need an advice, my graphic card is really outdated (Nvidia GeForce GT630), i mainly play blizzard games and that's not a problem but if i try to play something newer, well, in that case i have a problem, for example, yesterday i bought CoDBO3 (my friends pushed me), i can play it....buuut...all settings low and at 20 FPS, i need a gpu that allows me to play (nothing newer than 2015 games) decently.
Should i go straight for a new PC ? yes
Can i atm? nope
buy gtx 750
>>60805793
You almost certainly don't need a whole new PC, it takes quite a bit of effort to properly bottleneck a GPU, especially at regular frame rates and resolutions.
Buy a second hand card from a generation or two ago. Find a second hand GTX 960 or 970 perhaps, even the higher end GTX 700 series or R9 200 series will be fine. Or you could buy something more recent but lower end like a RX 460/560/550 or a GTX 1050 ti. Really I'm having trouble suggesting more accurately than this because there are so many cards that'll fit your use case.
>>60805793
not your tech support, get a 1080ti.
Hey fags,
I stopped playing gayms years ago, but I am still using windows, don't know why. I am total noob when it comes to linux, but it seems very cozy os. I want linux that is very comfy, good for browsing, watching videos, movies etc. What is best linux for me?

Who here /stock manipulation/?
>Goldman Sachs rate AMD as sell at $10.60
>GPUs selling as quickly as they're made, great news for earnings
>EPYC NDA lifts in 5 days
>Exclusivity deal with Dell for Threadripper to power Alienware Area 51 HEDT systems
>Another 3 months of Ryzen sales
>Huge media attention at E3 and Computex
>AMD to power Microsoft's Project Olympus
>All looking at a great quarterly report
>Reiterate a sell rating
Hmmmmmm, who's behind these posts :^)
;^)
If you haven't noticed, the entire tech sector is down in premarket hours.
>>60910118
If you haven't noticed. EPYC stands to make 80% of Intel's server lineup useless. And AMD are about to drop news on it in 5 days.
The majority of Intel's income is from the server space. Anything AMD do there to outshine Intel is going to effect AMD's income massively.
Now is a time to buy for those who missed the $10 dip
how do i get amount of ram with rc on plan 9

Basically, I really love my Nintendo Switch and one of the coolest things is being able to play it on the go. With that in mind, I wanted to play Mario Kart (and eventually ARMS/Splatoon/Pokken) online via tethering to my phone, considering that LTE has more than enough bandwith for these games. I use Cricket as my carrier.
Sadly, as soon as I tried to matchup/connect with another player, I would get an error message saying it can't connect. Looking up my issue (and speaking to Cricket's CS about it), apparently, many cellphone carriers use Strict NAT, which is controlled by the carriers, and is wholly inadequate for peer-to-peer gaming (what online console games typically use).
My main question is if anyone here uses a cellphone carrier that uses Open NAT (thus allowing for peer-to-peer gaming). I might consider switching to one that does. Is there any other way to game online in a car or bus? Thanks.
>>60805093
Just connect to a VPN on your phone and you can have whatever ports open you want. Same as you could do on any restrictive network (public, campus, etc.). The bit of extra latency will hardly be noticeable over your normal 3G/4G ping.

What sites would I go to if I wanted tech support/solutions to a problem I'm having? Yes, I am googling I just want to know what ones are good
Note: I'm not begging for help here. Thanks G
>>60804987
using linux mint btw
>>60804987
Whenever I've looked for solutions when I'm stumped I typically find other people with the same problems on Tom's hardware.
What did you do after you figured out you weren't going to graduate from CS and had to switch majors to something more suited to a brainlet?
I did IT and now I'm cruising through. I don't even have to study, I just do the work
