hello everyone, i bought this computer chair recently from a small mom-and-pop tech shack because it was on sale for 3 dollars
When I brought it home, I took off all the wrapping and discovered that there's a bunch of shit stains on it and I cant take it back because I called the business and they said they don't do refunds. so how the fuck do I clean this fucking shit up?
If its 3 dollars, just throw it away. It'll cost more to clean it than to drive it away to a dump.
do they smell of curry
>>61115869
Throw that shit back at that mompopshitshop and get your money. Dont beta and accept it.
Ignoring cost, if you had to chose S8+ or Pixel, what would you use?
>>61115832
s8 is a better phone
pixel is a wanna be iphone and fuck jewgle
S8+
in reality i would pick the xiaomi mi 6 tho
>inb4 muh 3.5mm
The S8 has much better hardware.
The Pixel has much better software.
Make your choice based on that.
Some mexinigger just plugged in his phone to my laptop and walked away. What can I do to fuck up his phone? (i.e. brick it or put it into a boot loop)
Why the fuck did he do that?
>>61115736
Do you have access into his phone?
>>61115736
>tfw remember this same thread from a while back
Fuck off faggot and learn Google
>copy on write file systems (zfs, btrfs)
Who uses these meme file systems for home/personal systems? What's your excuse?
>>61115434
best storage filesystem for longevity and features, can you name a better one?
>>61115434
I use EXT4 on my boot drives where the OS is and either NTFS or EXT3/4 on flash drives and external hard drives.
>>61115455
Anything that doesn't fragment a drive to hell.
How zillow is making property lines? I am thinking of creating a portal in the same style and map the houses in my city. I wanting to start creating boundaries of each property in my citie, make them clickable, add price, just like zillow .. Then, after i do this in my own city i am planning in expand, but I need to know how to get started. I already have a company that will do the development of the site for me..
have you looked at the google maps API? it comes with decent documentation
>>61115302
Yes, but you can not create a map of properties like it is in zillow.
Learn how maps work
whatever happened to soldierknowsbest as being the resident tech negro?
I remembered he used to get hundreds of thousands of views per vids but know gets jack shit.
What went wrong?
Was he a victim of one of those "glitches" or whatever
>the resident tech negro
you make yourself look ignorant when you demean another race
can you keep this type of shit out of /g/?
>>61115170
He said Negro, not Nigger.
>>61115170
>ignorant
ironic
>debian
>ubuntu
>red hat
>arch linux
What's ur choice?
>>61115005
Opens use tumbleweed, but only because it comes with latest KDE desktop. I believe it also receives the GNOME desktop updates first, even before fedora rawhide. Otherwise I would totally use Debian, since all of the servers at my work run debian, and I am comfortable with it. Unfortunately, even sid has AT LEAST half a year old packages, it is too much stability for a home desktop use.
>>61115005
Debian, stable, fast, and a wicked sense of humor.
>>61115005
I use Fedora Security Labs or whatever it's called on my work laptop. It comes with a lot of great networking tools built in. My personal laptops, my desktop, and my home server all run Debian. I've never had it break, it pretty much just works without any over the top fuckery, and it's really fast.
Aside from apparently being a bitch to program for, what is it about the Cell that makes it impractical for desktop applications?
>>61114942
The fact that its already outdated.
>>61114942
It would take decades for people to get used to its architecture to do stuff they could normally do on any x86/x64 CPU.
It was 8 really weak CPUs with a giant bus.
It expected everyone to be an expert at multi-threading during a time when 2 CORE multithreading was BARELY starting to take off in the desktop computer space, and gamedev retards certainly weren't about to lead the way.
How does /g/ deal with new hard drives?
Pic related, just ordered 3 x 8TB WD Reds for my Drobo.
1) JAM IT IN and hope for the best
2) Quick glance at SMART data
3) Option 2 + Badblocks/spinrite/chkdsk/whatever
4) Full blown week long torture test
Just make sure it works and throw it into a RAIDZ2 or whatever
Check SMART and do a surface test, that's about it.
Physical install, make sure detected by bios. Install OS or clonezilla.
>Create a certification
>Charge $300 per exam attempt
>Need to pass 6 exams to get your certification
>Create no study materials for the certification
Why is this allowed?
That's how a scam works.
A university degree is much the same way.
>Need to pass 6 exams to get your certification
Thought they were only 2 per cert, are you counting various certs?
>>61114894
>No study material
they want you to be employed in the industry after doing a degree to get your ccnp
if you want an ez life do the ccna
Old thread: >>61108019
What are you working on, /g/?
This one has double numbers and was a post earlier. I usually post in /wdg/ but I think they're sick of me and want me to drop what I have and fuck off.
Almost finished my web framework, it runs JavaScript templating libraries in c# so all you have to do is pass the constructor a filename and an anonymous object for the templating libraries input object. I told myself it's done when I can no longer see any bugs since at this stage most bugs require obscure test conditions which I don't have a hope of finding.
Currently faster than react.net and asp.net mvc, implements every JavaScript templating library that's popular here besides razor (I personally don't like it) and vue (hard dependency on node.js).
first for javascript
Why was the other thread deleted?
Why is a weaker rx570 cost more than a gtx 1060
mining you dumb fool, where have you been?

Why is literally every 400 series and 500 series sold out?
>there's no streaming site that allows you to stream movies and series to watch with your friends
s-so that's how cool internet is in the future huh

Xbox 360 used to have it with Netflix
>what is Cytube
You have to host your own illegal movies though, I wonder if Google Drive still works, or everyone pay for a VPS, done.
Cytube and rabbit?
so, are anti-malware "real time protection" technologies at least halfway effective? I'm looking for something to protect computers used by people without common sense.
>>61114622
install gentoo
Seriously, for people with no common sense loonix is a very good OS.
>>61114622
yeah they are
>>61114622
just use Windows Defender
Hello guys, Just finished the first semester in Computing , programming wise we did only Java and Html absolute beginner stuff .
Now that I'm on summer vacations I want to learn more and I've been thinking about learning another language C# for example
My question is should I just keep reading and extend my knowledge in Java? or try new stuff like C#?
thanks in advance my best friends.
>>61114576
keep going until you are competent, once you get a good understanding of programming you can learn other languages a lot quicker.
plus java can make u sum gd bux as a career
I think learning new languages is good, but you probably won't get a whole lot out of learning C# when you already know a bit of java since they're very similar languages. Probably just keep going with Java, or if you're feeling adventurous, learn C to see what an unmanaged, non-oop language is like.
>>61114576
C# basically is Java, except Visual Studio is god tier. That being said, I would suggest sticking to one thing and try to get fairly in depth with it. Once your comfortable, you can learn more languages quite quickly when you need to.
