What's ur choice?

Opens use tumbleweed, but only because it comes with latest KDE desktop. I believe it also receives the GNOME desktop updates first, even before fedora rawhide. Otherwise I would totally use Debian, since all of the servers at my work run debian, and I am comfortable with it. Unfortunately, even sid has AT LEAST half a year old packages, it is too much stability for a home desktop use.

Debian, stable, fast, and a wicked sense of humor.

I use Fedora Security Labs or whatever it's called on my work laptop. It comes with a lot of great networking tools built in. My personal laptops, my desktop, and my home server all run Debian. I've never had it break, it pretty much just works without any over the top fuckery, and it's really fast.

Arch is popular because people think it requires a lot of Linux competence when it actually only requires copying and pasting commands from the wiki. So people think it makes them look like an epic black hat hacker, when really they just look like a bit of a dweeb.
Actual reasons to use arch are:
- rolling release
- minimal autoconfig for packages
- packages are kept as vanilla as possible
- you don't really care about how software in the repos is licensed, as long as it works
- you don't want something set up for you out of the box and would prefer to set up everything manually
If you don't care for those reasons then there are much more sensible choices for distributions. Anything Debian-based or Fedora-based are usually relativity sensible for most users

There is any alternative for arch? i use it because AUR, it has almost all packages that i need, broken or not, it has enough software to keep me on it

Antergos here.
Easymode installer and AUR support.
>>61115005
Well I used to use Arch, but I've noticed my comp doesn't get fucked nearly as badly since I switched, so I'll say Debian

Fedora
I don't have to prove/'spend the time compiling and installing shit like arch fags do
Ubuntu is Debian and why the shit would you red hat/centos?
Fedora is cutting edge and just works out of the box..DNF is a pretty cool guy too eh?
Debian Based: Debian, Ubuntu
Red Hat Based: Red Hat, CentOS, Scientific Linux, Fedora
There you go. The only linux distros that actually matter.
Gentoo
