Hey /fit/ this is my first ever post.

I'm having real trouble with grip strength when I do deadlifts. Does anyone have any tips? Also, I'm 25 and my sporting days are gone, I train just to stay in shape - in this case how essential are deadlifts? Are there other equivalent exercises that can get the job done?

If you are doing it for 'self-defence' do yourself a favour get a CCW and buy a compact pistol in 9mm. Learn to use it and carry that.

They teach you how to take someone down who has a knife (no one who has a clue about self defence would EVER do that)

i'm thinking of adding one because after i train super heavy movements and focus hard on larger muscle groups i generally tire and or lose my rage.
Arms are generally easy to lift, but can having an arm day take away from your chest/back days?
