Another thing, you might be lifting wrong. Lift heavy weights (the heaviest you can lift) and do 3 sets of low reps while making sure you have the right form (your form is crucial)
Which cardio machine burns the most calories? Stairmaster or treadmill on incline? Others?
Also, does wearing a hoody and sweats over shorts and a tuna shirt make much of a big difference in total calories burned? Or is it a myth that the more you sweat the more calories you burn?

Swimming actually burns the most calories, after that treadmill. I'm more of a fan of a rowing machine than anything else though.
This is purely conjecture, but I don't think you lose much more weight in sweats. 80% of weight lost is in the form of carbon dioxide exhaled. 20% comes from water and you will be replacing that.
