Use Hook Grip or learn develop your forearms until you can use a Mixed Suicide Grip. The reason their biceps tore is because the flexed it too hard on the way up; by using an Overhand Grip, the Bicep can't fully contract, and by using a Suicide Grip, the same occurs. Realistically, Hooked Grip is hard to do once you start lifting heavy, and a Suicide Grip requires shit-tons of grip training to DL over 4pl8. The alternative is Double Overhand with straps, but then you cuck your forearm strength. Lastly, you could just switch to Trap Bar DLs which are safer, easier to maintain form, and allow loading more weight thus overloading more muscles, but the obvious con is that no one cares how much you Trap Bar.

At the start of this year I was 195lbs and no muscle.
I started eating healthy, stopped drinking alcohol, walked, cycled, have been in a gym routine for 7 months now.
I got down to about 165 in may and have gone up to 270 now but the weight coming on is muscle.
I still have a good 2 inches of flab I can pinch around my belly button and this layer is hiding any definition.
