This movie is pretty amazing. Watched it a while ago because I had no real recollection from having seen it as a kid, and then it made me weepy. Goofy shouldn't make me sad.

Almost forgot the illusionist, but let's be honest, it feels more like any average british slice-of-life, it feels like goddamn Mr.Bean without the comedy.
The actual movie with real actors was much more interesting.

It's like having 2 subject matters you could animate: your average day to day life which every boring average person experiences.
Or any of the Alexander Dumas stories about actual interesting characters with genuine problems they have to overcome through skill and intelligence(and a lot of plot armor) rather than sitting there like civilians and taking a beating.

Anyway somebody else has some more mature looking animations I don't know about? Because I kind of posted all of them without stretching hairs like Treasure Planet and Atlantis the Lost Empire.

The writing was okay, but I just couldn't warm up to the idea of Venom in space. It got more interesting when he came back to Earth, but by then, the decision to cancel it had probably already been made.

Miller is the obvious answer, so much so that every acclaimed run after was just a further permutation of what he already did. Nocenti/JRJR is much more interesting and Novel than Bendis/Brubaker/Diggle's retreading of things Frank already explored.

the purpose of a diploma is that is a seal of approval, that you have learned enough about art to make a living out of it
this means that without one, you will need to build up a portfolio of works that you can use in its place
remember unlike, say the hard sciences, the animation industry rarely looks at what school you went to, they look at the works you've done, so if you don't want to go to school, you are gonna have to learn that stuff on your own, supposedly they look at things like tumblr to check your work

why? i read many "classic" and "best" comic books of superheroes (like Animal Man, Doom Patrol and Invisibles from Morrison, V from Vendetta, Watchmen from Moore, Sandman, Starman from James Robinson, etc) but i just cant get into this comic.
