It has the potential to be a meme food but it's not.

Only gripe about bread bowls is the bread to soup ratio is always like 3:1 and they're always stale. Have yet to find a place that hollows them out correctly or uses fresh bread.

You're in luck OP, I've been going to Pollo Tropical for over 10 years.

I usually get a Tropichop, either pork or chicken, with white rice, black beans, tomatoes, and corn. Then I put salsa, that white garlic sauce, and poyo poyo sauce. Fucking awesome.

If you don't want a bowl of slop, you can't go wrong with their chicken. But seriously try their sauces, especially the poyo poyo.

Thanks for the advice. I saw they have a ton of sauces so that's pretty cool. Is it kinda garbage, low quality food? Or is it a notch above your average fast food? Looks like they even have some healthy options too which is nice if I feel like not becoming a tub of lard. Also, what do you usually spend there on that meal you described? No prices on their site.

Also, pick up one of Julia Child's books. Not 100% authentic, but they're written such that a home cook could make the recipes.

actually what I really like is 3 amigos because they cook the meat fresh from raw for every order, but I eat there so much I feel awkward about it when I go in sometimes.

You should contact any local ag alliances or co-ops. That would put you in touch with producers and buyers.

its a good idea. you should start with market gardeners and farmers' markets near you, that will let you get a few initial sign ups and you can work from there. A lot of promotion will be needed to hit a critical mass of uses tho.
I believe there's already some farm to table apps so make sure to check those out and work on improving on them
