What up /ck/? American here. Bought a can of pic related from the pakishop and want to do beans on toast le olde endlande style.
How do I do it authentic? White or wheat? Microwave or saucepan? How deep of a toast? One slice per can or two?
>>7150163
oh yea and essential condiments?
>>7150163
1-2 slices of white bread, toast in toaster to the colour of your preference. To heat the beans you can use a micro but I prefer to heat in a saucepan as theres a more even heat
I doubt all households in endland have their beans on toast adhere to such strict rules as those you seek to apply
What is your favorite style of pizza?
Mine is the Detroit Style. it is better than New York style, Chicago style, and regular round style Imo.

Just ate a whole box of these and now we wait.
I once had a brisk walk level poo from just one. God bless you poor bastard.
One time I drank a cup of coffee
Ate a couple of these
And had some raisin fiber cereal
It was a good morning.
I have constant diarrhea anyways, just leads to sharting, so I sit on towels
Chips that are either impossible to find or discontinued.

Chips not CHiPs
I wish I'd gotten a chance to try these.
hey guys, i have this girlfriend who's a vegetarian and i like to cook for her, except all my specialities are meat, with meat juice and a side of meat. I've actually specialized in using vegetables because they complement the meat and make it seem like theres more meat.
except now i feel like making food for her, she's ok with me eating meat when she's also there but it doesn't feel good. also she's making me realize maybe i should go for some quality rather than quantity.
anyways I really miss something in my food when there's no meat and even beans and lentils and such don't really satisfy me.
falafel is the only thing that i would really suffice but apart from needing a deep fryer (which I have but she doesn't) it's nice to have some other ideas.
BTW, I'd like to minimize soy(I'd like to keep my dick) and I can't stand cheese.
anyone?
TLDR: plant-based food that isn't rabbit-food.
>>7150049
>(I'd like to keep my dick)
too late for that, betafag
Try some vege curries, there is huge variety and you can use the same genetic veg each time
Onion, carrot, pepper, broad beans, whatever you like etc...
Serve with rice or naan bread duh
It sounds to me like you have a pathological dependency on meat and need to diversify your diet.
Your comment about soy doesn't even make sense. You are aware that meat and dairy has natural estrogen in it at comparable to higher levels than soy? Soy doesn't even have estrogen, mind you, just estrogen-analogs which don't even affect male hormonal levels unless consumed at ridiculous doses. What are you going to tell me next, that you avoid bananas because you don't want cancer, since the potassium in bananas are radioactive?
If you are deadset on avoiding soy and tofu like a retard, I recommend seitan (vital wheat gluten) as a very "meaty" substitute to meat. Potatoes are also good, though they tend to have some antinutrients. Sweet potatoes and yams are an excellent choice, and are extremely nutritious. (I'm about to have one right now). You could also have other "meaty" plants, such as mushrooms and carrots. Simply having a few bananas and a pear is a nutritious meal, as well, and will fill you up.
If you want to start eating in a way that your girlfriend will respect, stop thinking of your side dishes as mere side dishes. Think about how it would be like to have them as the main course. If you eat meat at all, it should be as the side dish. That way, you eat more nutritiously and your diet isn't such a morally bankrupt impact on the environment.
>Something smells good
>Roommate is cooking bacon and eggs and pancakes, fuck yeah
>Actually decide to have cereal because trying to get fit
>Roommate asks me if we have any metal cans
>puzzlement.jpg
>Says he needs metal cans to store the leftover grease and use it in other food
>whatthefuck.noooooo
>mfw
Is that normal? Is that a thing that happens? Storing grease for later? Please understand, I am definitely not a chef, but I don't think it's normal to have a can of fucking grease in your cupboard.
>>7150038
>he doesn't store his bacon grease
what the fuck is wrong with you
saving it in a metal can is pretty nasty, thats open and exposed to the elements, disgusting. but saving grease to cook with later isn't unheard of, usually if i do i put it in a glass jar in the fridge, it would go rancid on the counter.
>>7150038
Leftover bacon grease is fucking awesome for cooking other stuff.
I don't just leave it in the cupboard though, I strain it and stick it in a container in the fridge to use later.
does /ck/ use cast iron cookware in their kitchen?
sometimes
>>7149993
Sure. But not exclusively. Different tools for different jobs bro.
>>7149993
Yes. I also use stainless steel and copper.
It's kinda chilly today.
What do you like to eat to warm you up?
Homemade pizza with anchovies.
chili
>>7149990
I'm making some carne guisada today. It's in the crock pot right now.
Objectively taste can be the sensations of a food, like salty, sweet, sour etc. I've seen people make the case that food abominations like ranch dressing and nacho cheese on pizza are objectively "good" because they contain large amounts of fat, salt and sugar, and that's what makes something taste good.
This ignores the other definition of taste, popularized by Voltaire during the Enlightenment which involves discriminating between the good and the bad. It is a value judgment. Something is bad because it's made from bad ingredients, regardless of whether the balance of fat, salt and sugar could be pleasing. Which is why Taco Bell can never be good.
I side with Voltaire, because even though garbage can be made palatable I'd rather not eat it if I can help it.
What do you think?
>>7149989
>Something is bad because it's made from bad ingredients, regardless of whether the balance of fat, salt and sugar could be pleasing
Sure. But you're discussing two totally separate things: A value judgement of the food, and how it tastes. Why collude them? They are not mutually exclusive.

read the sticky, newfag

the tongue can taste anything anywhere, I figured that out when I was 4
Can you buy fast food (mc donalds/burger king) on ebt/food stamos?
No, but you can buy meat and make your own goddamn cheeseburger
Jack in the Box takes it around here.
Took a fellow manager to a meeting, we stopped at Jack in the crack for breakfast. He sees the EBT accepted here sign.
We order, he says "I got this one". Reaches for his wallet. He forgot it. I had to pay.
Broke ass niggas are everywhere.

autism much?
So we all agree that anchovies are one of the best pizza toppings, but when do you add them?
http://strawpoll.me/6211408
>>7149865
Where's the option for never you nasty fuck
>>7149865
Your survey is flawed. There's no option for Never.
I've never actually tried anchovy pizza but I don't mind anchovies. Wouldn't having whole anchovies on a pizza be overwhelmingly salty though? It seems like chopping them up and spreading it out would be better.
Every morning I eat two scrambled eggs with salsa between toast and some kind of fruit, usually grapes or an orange. Im looking for new things to eat with the eggs from different parts of the world. Any suggestions? I used to add green and red peppers with onions to them too.
Some good cheese, preferably cheddar
>>7149866
I love cheddar and I love eggs but rarely eat them together. The sharpness of the cheddar tends to give the egg an off bitter sort of taste.
>>7149872
i usually go american cheese with eggs but im trying to keep it healthy for breakfast
Is drinking a bottle of wine a day too much?
Yes. Nothing wrong with it though, just enjoy life.
>>7149679
I don't think so, plenty of people do. It really isn't that much over the course of an evening and probably won't do you much damage in the long run.
Seems to be a very good volume of alcohol too - enough to get a slight buzz and relax but not enough to make you properly drunk and give you a hangover.
This doc scared the hell out of me re: drinking: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05wdfhk
Wish I'd never watched it. Now I can't help but think I'm killing my liver any time I drink.
hey /ck/
after eating way too little during way too long periods of time (dat neet life), I've finally started earning money and working out.
what foods do you always like having around the house, beyond the basics? what do you like having around, stuff that is easy for you to just grab and enjoy?
my pantry only has basics now, and stuff like bacon, eggs, bearnaise sauce, kimchi, brie cheese, bread...
I'm picturing things like different kinds of sodas and beers, chips, good meats, different kinds of cheese, and various vegetables, fruits, and nuts.
what's your favorites?
Anchovies.
hot dogs
I always find that my pantry benefits immensely from the presence of a Knorr Stock Pot. Whether it's entertaining for a dinner party or just fixing a quick dinner after a full day's work, I know I can always rely on the rich flavour of a Knorr Stock Pot to liven up even my shittest recipes.
The onion sandwich, how do I cook it properly?
What's your favorite recipe?
Wtf is dis shit.
>>7149600
It needs a splash of peanut butter desu senpai
a sandwich that makes you cry when you eat it and falls apart when you get half way through.
