You could just put a little egg was/milk to help it stick, as long as you don't drown it it'll be fine, but usually with fish the crumbs will stay on just fine

My mom always gives me candy bars when I come to check in on her and dad. For Christmas, she gave me a ton of chocolate and desu, I can't eat a lot of the stuff or else I'm going to end up throwing up. I had an idea to preserve all the chocolate and candy bars for either eating at my own pace, or to use in baking for friends or as desserts at the local food bank. Is there any way to preserve them?

The nearest place that does a good one is about an hour away and pricey, so I only go there when I'm feeling particularly down and out.

I recomment spicy foods when feeling depressed. The capsaicin will force endophine production.

So I'm in Japan and I am organizing a Christmas party for Friday. I sent a friend out to pick a cake we can eat in 2 days, and he just came back with a fucking strawberry shortcake that is going to be runny as fuck by then.

Is there anyway I can store this thing? Can you freeze strawberry shortcake?

Anyway, roast filet in over at low temp until just past rare.

Finish by searing very briefly on an insanely hot pan; you should end up right at a medium rare throughout with a great crust.

I started making a treat for Christmas and I've run into a bit of a wall. I've melted down some white chocolate in a double-boiler and got thru coating about 10 chocolate truffles before the white chocolate began to quickly turn into a doughy texture, kind of like mashed potatoes if you like them on the firmer side.

I can't work with it like this and I'm not sure on my next step. What did I do wrong? How do I fix this?

That's possible, I turned the heat down a bit. The texturing started at the very bottom, where it would be the hottest I would think. Will try keeping the heat up and see how that goes.

Whenever I make pancakes I never get that nice brown color that you see at any restaurant.

What am I doing wrong here? Not enough heat? Not enough oil?

You cooking surface should be just hot enough so that a drop of water will dance around on it, and you should use a thin swipe of butter, not oil.

Mine come out fine every day. Only use butter if you're not using a teflon pan. If teflon, heat on the lowest heat until the water dances on it, spoon batter down, one ladle-full does it for me, cook for 1 min, flip, cook for 1 min, plate it. Should be perfect on both sides.
