I want to make Sea Fritters/ Seaweed Puffs like I had once in Naples, but all the recipes I can find do not specify what kind of seaweed they use.
I hope I can find it in an Asian grocery.
Can anyone tell what it is?
another pic
Okay /ck/, I need to put this to rest.
Has it ever happened that you're eating a sweet like cake, ice cream or whipped cream, and suddenly you can taste the spoon's metallic flavor in the dessert itself? Why does this happen?
The first time I remember this happening wasn't with a spoon, it was when they gave me a piece of cake from a birthday party I didn't attend (I didn't really like the kid but his parents were friends with mine so they went out of courtesy). It was wrapped in foil. The whole cake was ruined, it all fucking tasted like metal. It was awful. I suppose that was my karmic retribution for not just going to that poor fucker's party.
yeah I've noticed that sometimes aluminum can give off a metallic flavor.
Honestly its probably just a left over sensation had. I.e kids b day party..anything sweet...blah blah
Isn't experiencing random metallic tastes one of the signs of dementia?
So I've recently bought three chocolate chip panetttones from Morrisons in the UK, after eating two 2 days in a row I've had stomach cramps lasting all night being bad which I now think must have been due to these. Sadly I still have a third and it tastes nice and I want to eat it as a result. But I don't want to have similar cramping again especially since needing to go have Christmas meal tomorrow.
Any advice on how to eat such a thing without it messing up my body?

Grow up and learn to control your urges instead of letting them control you. Are you 7 years old or something? Christ some people.
>>7199577
you might be allergic to one of the ingredients
perhaps some of the nuts or fruits this looks like it might have in it.
i dunno if its gas cramping maybe try some beano.
say a good thing about a bad pizza chain/pizza chain you dislike
pretty good deals

great for bulking
one pizza hut at home used to have a simpsons konami beat em up
another had street fighter alpha 3
a shitty pizza buffet that closed down had street fighter third strike hidden in the back

Pizza Hut smells good.
So... I found out about an hour and a half ago that previous plans are canceled and I'm supposed to be cooking xmas dinner this year.
There will be ham, herbed potatoes, snap peas with Meyer lemon, a spinach salad, and hopefully much rejoicing.
Wish me luck.
Cool blog post.
I hope you fuck everything up and your family resents you for ruining christmas.

Why would you say such an unpleasant thing about Titli?
Can we have a Cupcake thread?
no, not really. sorry

I prefer muffins.
Will this survive in a deep fryer?
It should say so if it would.
What's its maximum reading? It needs to be able to do over 375.
>>7199081
Thanks for the reply. It actually doesn't say. Only references general safety and product care.
>>7199069
yes, as long as you're not submerging the whole thing in the oil.
So /ck/, who's going to win?
middle guy
>>7199068
Scott? Yeah he's probably edging out the other two. Out of the three I'd put Nick at the bottom.

Im currently traveling at the moment and am going to make joojeh kabob, a popular persian recipe, tomorrow for a Christmas potluck.
For those unfamiliar, it is chicken marinated in a yogurt/onion/lemon mixture.
The only ingredient I was not able to find in the country I am currently in is Saffron, which is essential to the yellow appearance of the dish.
What spices/mixture does /ck/ recommend I use on my chicken in order to enhance the flavor/presentation? I was thinking paprika/chilipowder/cumin in equal parts. Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Saffron or gtfo
Tbh you can make some tandori chicken instead if you got that powder. North Indian and Persian cuisine are pretty similar they mostly differ in spices desu desu
turmeric you absolute fucking mongoloid
Curry powder
The yogurt will offset any robust flavoring the curry has, but still leave a nice subtle spice and aroma. Lemon would also enhance the curry flavor being it's an acid. Onion is just icing on the cake.
>advent chocolate
>bittersweet for more than three days in a row
Fuck you
What's it like being 12?

What's a salat?
>>7198598
I suspect OP is german.
Step 1: put it all in a bowl
Step 2: eat your salat
What kind of blender do you use/recommend?
I have some kitchen-aid bullshit and it keeps getting stuck or creates air pockets or something and stops blending while blending frozen fruit ffs.
do you faggots even own blenders?
>>7198513
Read the sticky, fggt
>>7198473
I bought a $14 Hamilton Beach single serve blender that does what I want to do. I don't blend too often and am a bachelor, so its fine.
My brother has the magic bullet system. Every store seems to have it 1/4 off during this time of year, so if you blend often, I see the systems for 80-120 depending on which system. He seems to think it does a really good job.
'sup /ck/,
I'm going on a road trip after Christmas and aim to take in as much of the East Coast as I can.
Any stand out restaurants or bars I should visit?
Also what sort of regional cuisine is good?
There are lots of great quality restaurants on the east coast of Australia. I recommend the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant in Melbourne, the Waterview Restaurant in Sydney, and the Alchemy Restaurant & Bar in Brisbane.
Good luck and drive safe!
>>7198250
I'm not in Australia, silly.
