God damn this concoction. Feel like a fat slob every time
Who else /fasts/ here?
This thread technically belongs here, since its related to food, or more like lack of it.
I fast for two weeks every six months (eating absolutely nothing during that time), and I have to say it feels pretty great once you get over day 3.
After you get over the overall feeling of hunger, low blood sugar and stomach cramps, it almost feels like being high on something.
>Days 1-3 you feel just tired and bummed out.
>Days 4-7 you feel like your body is purging itself of all the unwanted shit it has accumulated, and you overall feel like you're regenerating, and your body feels very light.
8-14 you just feel very calm, creative and almost like a different person, clean of all excess crap.
Btw, I don't do it for religious reasons.
Unless you're a fat fuck that literally can't go two hours without eating, I'd recommend giving fasting a chance at least once.
>>8022898
>14 days
WHAT EVEN
I do Intermittent fasting and think of adding 1-2 days fasting a week but doing 2 fucking weeks is malnutrition
Fasting for anything but religious reasons is stupid. It's bad for you, makes you feel lethargic when you perform any decent activity, and is just flat out stupid.
It doesn't cleanse you, it doesn't purify you, it doesn't do anything but make you suffer, which can bring its own(spiritual or mental) advantages, but there are absolutely no physical benefits from fasting you dumb bitch.

There is you fucking moron, there are numerous studies on it but you fucking faggot can't use even fucking google, what a moron.
How does /ck/ make their chicken tendies? Whenever I try making them half the fucking bread crumbs fall off, and leaves a bunch of chicken exposed.
I've tried dipping them in egg, but oil has yielded conparatively better results thus far.
Dip it back into the egg and breadcrumbs for a second layer. I do the same for mozzarella sticks.
>>8019532
I was thinking this. I've done it a few times like that to moderate avail. I'll probably tweak the cooking time and temperature to achieve the desired result, if not frying them instead of baking.
to fry foods you really need a deep fat fryer. just toss them in hot oil. if you try to fry stuff in a pan you just end up damaging the breading, as you said in your OP.
What do you think of Starbucks?
shit
I like it

Americans can't eat salt licorice?
Americans are FREE to eat whatever they want.
>>8027415
American here. I fucking love it. Then again, part of my family is Danish, so I'm sure that I was introduced to it as a kid.
I've shared it with many other people--Americans, Indian, Chinese....the list goes on. Very few of them like it.
>>8027415
I ordered some with my last order of snus and liked it but all my coworkers and friends didn't.
Hey /ck/ what sort of foods would they have eaten in middle earth or the dark ages?I know they ate roasted chicken, potatos, soups/stews, and bread with butter but you guys have any other suggestions?
>>8026935
>>other suggestions
Sure. Google "medieval foods"
I thought only rich people ate meat and stuff. Poor people would probably eat 900 calories of cabbage and bread a day
-potatows 'medieval'? europe maybe not

Popeye's employee here. Ask me anything.
>>8026715
do you think you have the right to not get shot when you walk outside?
>>8026720
No.
Everyone can get shot if they walk outside.
I mean unless you live in a backwards country that doesn't allow guns.
>>8026715
Do you interact directly with customers?
Why does everyone pretend not to like meatloaf?
Because everyone's mom used to make really terrible meatloaf.
I like meatloaf.

now i don't like it because hamburgers are better
I always thought that you guys were just memeing about this Carbonara, but I just made some tonight and WOW! That was actually really good pasta. Any tips or tricks to improve the Carbonara?

I've had three or four glasses of alcohol in my life and I just bought one of these. Is it truly The King of Beers?
>>8016374
No. It's something to drink in the morning when you're out of whiskey.
Absolutely. Anyone who says otherwise is a hipster try hard faggot
>>8016409
I have Budweiser in my fridge almost all of the time. I drink it regularly. I still think it tastes of nothing and only drink it to get drunk. If I want to enjoy the beer I'm drinking, I'll get tripel or a stout.
Why don't American Chinese restaurants sell pork buns? They're like the Chinese equivalent of hamburgers.
>>8015444
Protip: they do
>>8015444
There are plenty of Dim Sum restaurants in the civilized parts of America.
because they're only decent when made fresh and selling to make a high turnover rate but muricans don't give a shit about pork buns just general tso's chicken so we're obliged to give'em that
If we made them then froze them they taste like ass and not as fluffy and nice as fresh ones
so sorry fellow Americans there is no market there
Except for places with high concentration of Chinese like new York or San Francisco
They buy pork buns
What is your favourite hot sauce?
I need recommendations what to put on my pizza
>>8001778
Tapatio is my go-to, especially for something like pizza. Very versatile but still a solid flavor.
>>8001778
Encona is hotter than all of those, much cheaper, and available from most UK supermarkets.
My boss runs an orphanage in Belize and brings this stuff back all the time. It's really good, still has that vinegary taste that I like in my hot sauce.
Aside from that, there are numerous foods that I pretty much don't enjoy without plain Tabasco sauce. I like the Chipotle one too, but ironically it doesn't go well with a burrito from Chipotle.
