How does that work?
>not mixing mustard and mayo
OP is a pleb
First time posting here, and since there's no sticky I'm not sure how to go about this but here goes
I'm a student living in a dorm, and I'm currently trying to lose weight. I'm a very bad cook, and have only learned a tiny bit in middle school for like a year. I was wondering if any of you could recommend meals that aren't difficult to make / takes a long time that is also healthy?
Pic slightly related cause its more or less the only 'proper' breakfast I can make, except for bread with topping
I wouldn't recommend eggs every day, maybe do some scrambled eggs on the weekend but then weekdays do oatmeal which is really easy.
For how to lose weight go to /fa/ /thinspo/ general, current one here: >>>/fa/11648824
Read the FAQ there and the Model Diet Guide.
The short version is that you can eat whatever you want and lose weight as long as it is below your TDEE. Get MyFitnessPal (it's free) and start counting calories.
The trick is the eat healthy and go slow, then you can become permanently skinny and not lose your motivation. I recommend no more than a 500 calorie deficit.

Kill yourself.

My diet is doing pretty okay already really, I lost almost 10 pounds the first two weeks, but I can't just live on bread with smoked salmon anymore, so I really need some meals that I can easily make to have more variety and get all the nutrients I need
Thanks for the tips though!
crashed at friend of a friend and found this on the table. whats going on? they make their own beer?

What are you doing taking pictures of my stuff you weirdo? I let you crash as a favour, I didn't expect you to photograph my house.

It's kvass.
When I was young my parents were always telling me that you *have* to eat soup for lunch
Is that true?
>>8010860
Soup is good food.
>>8010860
If you don't, you'll probably die. Hard.
>>8010860
It's a pretty good lunch food. Make it for dinner the night before there is always extra soup. It reheat well and its very filling not too caloric dense and a good source of protein and cheap.
If I make soup I'm sure as hell saving 2 portions for lunch.
Hey fellas, hungry?
>>8010701
Got enough for a twosome tonight
Let's have a party, anon.
>>8010725
I would feed OP's dish to a dog though
Why is flavored kefir so good but unflavored so gross?
Better question is, why can't I find any lemon flavored Kefir? Strawberry, Raspberry and Plain is all I can find. For a while there were those gross liquid ones with mango and shit, but never lemon.
And I clearly remember having lemon kefir as a kid.
>>8010646
Sugar. The flavored stuff usually has more sugar to make it taste better. Otherwise it would taste like assholes with overtones of honey
Plain Kefir is far superior you giant pleb.
Has anybody had a buffalo burger before? I know some places in my city that serve them and I was wondering if it's worth the hype. Same with elk meat
They're not very good. Meat tends to be more lean.
I had elk sliders at a place in Tacoma that were fucking insane. Never had a buffalo burger that wasnt dry but the places I've eaten them at overcooked them or didnt mix in some sort of fat
Its bretty good but it all depends whats on it desu. Mine didnt come with cheese for some reason just spinach, onions, and tomatoes with some holy aioli on the bun. For $11 it was worth it.
Alright /ck/. I'mma make some chilli tomorrow. I want to try something a little different.
I'm gonna use ground chuck and crumbled bratwurst, beer, beef stock, diced carrot, celery, and onion, poblanos and jalapeños, then I have 6 different kinds of dried chilis I can use: ancho, pasilla, puya, mulatos, New Mexico, and guajillo. Maybe use some red bell pepper, too.
I'm also thinking of throwing in a little allspice and brown sugar along with the standard chilli powder, cumin, etc.
I am going to use beans because I like them and they're good nutrition (inb4 autism).
Any other ideas? How can I really bring this shit to Fieri-levels of flavortown?
How do you eat chilli? Only ever had it on like hotdogs or burger, can you eat it by itself?
Have a frozen bag of the stuff taking space in the freezer.
>>8010534
Yeah, you eat it on its own like a stew. I'm just gonna make a massive pot because I'm getting in shape, and it's pretty healthy and I can eat for a week.
>>8010526
dump the spices in at different stages - early, middle late.
i prefer a gravy that is totally smooth, so i would blend up all the vegetables into a paste.
vinegar at the end for brightness. add fresh peppers late, too.
msg, maggi seasoning, or soy sauce.
if you need to thicken it, masa is traditional and gives a slight corny taste without the grittiness of corn meal.
chili tastes better if it has sat in the fridge overnight.
I want to thing of some ways you can spice up a bland dish like try adding an ingredient or something like that give me a bland meal or a decent meal and I'll try and make it better
>>8010523
Italian seasoning is a cheap thing that can make a lot of things better.
>>8010523
onion soup and a side of celery
No like you guys tell me meals that start tasting like crap and I'll give suggestions that are worth a shot like cook Raman normally but serve in Prego sauce like spaghetti
Name brands that are actually the worst of their product.
>>8010514
Bitter garbage. Dollar store tea is ten times the quality. Brightness is down sorry.
>>8010540
Lipton tea is essentially dirt.
Favorite Italian foods/drinks?
Starting out with rigatoni. Bit of a plebeian taste, I know, but it's a fantastic meal with tons to explore. I suggest it if you somehow haven't already eaten it.
>>8010512
Rigatoni is not a recipe, it's just the name of the shape.
My favorite is garlic bread.
I like spaghetti.
How do you like your yogurt?
I eat cottage cheese because I'm a man.
broad question is broad.
i like my yoghurt in the kitchen where it fucking belongs.
Excellent with muesli. Not great with oat porridge. Fantastic base for a garlic sauce to use in a kebab. Pretty good on its own as a dip for celery.
why cook when Whataburger is open 24 hours a day?
>>8010321
>>8010327
yeah it's expensive no doubt. 7-10 bucks a meal.
>>8010335
That's insane. I'd never buy a burger for more than 3.
There's some darkness in my heart, friends.
I need that bronco berry.
I need that molten cheese that is so creamed.
Give me that ten gallon hat.
jajaja
>>8010296
Isn't the bronco berry for the onion pedals?
>>8010470
I always got Bronco Berry for the jalapeno bites.
I don't know who decided raspberry jam was good on japapeno peppers, but damn I'm glad they discovered it
