Whats wrong with some tasty ayran on a hot day?
People actually like this crap? It's just spicy vinegar, like what the fuck.
>>8296930
>spicy vinegar
Which has a purpose for some people, such as on greens or long shelf life without refrigeration, but if you want the same thing but down a notch in acidity, then switch to Crystal hot sauce. It's barely vinegary. If you want really no discernable vinegar switch to Cholula for your eggs.
>>8296930
>It's just spicy vinegar,
You say that like it's a bad thing.
Best hot sauce for tortilla chips? I'm gonna need something thick I think.
Any of you fucks like tofu? Got any good recipes?
>>8296885
Small amount of oil, ginger, garlic. Tofu cubes, soy sauce, toban djan, sugar, little bit of water. Simmer. Thicken with a little cornstarch and water slurry. Serve with rice and green vegetable. Optional additions include ground pork and fermented black beand soaked in a little rice wine.

Milfy pic related.
Soup
chop it up and add it to scrambled eggs in the mornings
chop it up and add it to stir fry
chop it up and add it to salads
Also you could just eat it.
The milf picture would go better in the Tune Melt thread.

>Also you could just eat it.
Holy. Shit.
Ingredients I have:
uncooked red beans
choice of jasmne rice or a wild rice mix
yellow onions
garlic
smoked paprika
cayenne powder
salt
black pepper
olive oil
How do I make a good beans and rice or rather, something like a bean stew that I can pour on top of freshly cooked rice?
First of all, chop the onions up and mince the garlic.
Then sautée them with some olive oil 'til they're goldened.
Throw them on a pot alongside the beans (note: use a 1:3 ratio for cups of beans:cups of water).
Sprinkle some paprika/cayenne pepper and salt on the bean pot.
After that, go cook some rice (note: use 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice).
>>8295571
Am I putting the onion and garlic into a pot of uncooked beans which will then be cooked with the addition of paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt?
Also should the beans be soaked overnight before doing this or will I be doing it straight from dry beans?
>>8295581
First of all, you don't need to soak the beans.
Second of all, you can throw the sauteed onions into the pot of uncooked beans just fine. But remember to put the paprika, pepper, and cayenne powder when they're nearly done cooking.
You can put salt in at any point in time.
Need some help here. Trying to caramelizing onions and it just doesnt seem to work
>lowest flame possible
>butter/oil combo
>still burn, not brown, burn.
Do i need to constantly move it around? I just let them sit for about 5 minutes but they start burning. I'm eating them now and some of these are delicious but others are just burnt. Cooking time total has been about 15 minutes but i just ditched it.
Any tips to help?
Bump before bed
It takes 3 to 5 hours to caramelize onions properly. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you.

this guy is a liar, it takes 4 hours on the highest heat with sesame oil. Dont be fooled.
Somehow a plastic bag clip got left on the bottom of the oven, and got melted while my family was cooking a pot roast. Is the roast still safe to eat if the plastic didn't make contact with the meat in any way?
>>8294879
>plastic bag clip got left on the bottom of the oven
How, just how, would this have happened?
Essentially you've bathed your pot roast in an indeterminate chemical bath. Surely the flavor has to resemble the smell at a busy gas station. I mean, it's as if you smoked it with plastic instead of wood.
>>8294879
WHY DONT YOU JUST FUCKING TASTE IT
>>8294879
yes, its safe. Might have a bit of a burnt plastic odor to it, though.
Once my mom put a bowl of stuffing covered with plastic wrap in the oven to keep warm during Thanksgiving food prep. The plastic-wrap melted and coated the stuffing on top. We wouldn't have even noticed if it wasn't for the chunks of plastic melted to the sides of the bowl.

>>8294824
They don't have yuengling on the west coast? For some reason I had assumed it was a national brand like bud and Miller. Is there some other macrobrew equivalent there?
It's not discontinued. You'll see it next summer. Stop spreading lies.
Do you have many good restaurants within walking distance of your home?
My area has like 5 Chinese or Asian restaurants alone, and they're all pretty good. There's also a Mexican place with amazing tacos and tortas, and the best Indian buffet in the city down the street.
>>8294794
>Do you have many good restaurants within walking distance of your home?
Walking distance, ehhh, more like biking or driving. I don't really need to temper my drinking such that I must walk home, really. I live on the ocean, planned community, guardhouse that kind of thing. But, right outside of it is a "historic district" with tons of great restaurants. My town has a no fast food ordinance and/or city commissioners against them, so, no chains!
>>8294794
Also forgot to mention a Salvadorean restaurant that's just a few minutes away. I've been living here for years and only found out about it recently, but they have excellent pupusas.
>>8294794

Anyone know how to part out turkey breast with the rubs still attached on the back? I want to sous vide then fry the turkey this year but ideally the bone would still be on to make it juicier and so the tenderloin doesn't slip off.
you could break the ribs at the point where attach to the spine then fillet out the breast from there
this guy does it here
