>The general consensus is that hotter is better when it comes to cooking pizza. A pizzeria’s brick-oven may reach temperatures of 800 degrees Fahrenheit, far warmer than your humble at-home oven. While your home kitchen is probably never going to be mistaken for a Neapolitan pizzeria, you might achieve better results with your frozen pizza by cranking up the heat on your over to 500 degrees Fahrenheit or so.
Is this true?a
No. They aren't shoving frozen things into those ovens. You will just have a burnt shitty pizza
>>8288782
Depends on the cooking equipment you use, you can crank most ovens to 550F and use a pizza stone or cast iron pizza pan to mimic coal fired brick ovens. I'm not sure though if a pizza stone can handle 550F, I know my cast iron pizza pan can.

If you bring it to room temp first, then it might bring you a better texture than just tossing it in frozen, but it's not going to radically change the final results.
Is there a way evenly heat Frito's Flavored Cheese Dip?
Microwaving it makes it get so hot that it creates a sticky mess on a plate that requires REALLY HARD SCRUBBING. Even when it's superhot, it's somehow really cold in the middle even when it's been microwaved for 5 minutes. You also have to be careful to remove the cheese from the can before you microwave it or else you'll burn down your house. I don't like scooping out a portion because I either scoop out too much and have more chips than dip or I scoop out too little and I end up being too lazy to MICROWAVE more cheese.
>>8288530
You coud probably get it evenly hot in a pan with a lot of stirring.
But more importantly, you should never eat that stuff
HAVE YOU TRIED NOT MICROWAVING IT
>place container on stove top
>cheese starts splattering everywhere
>the heat melts through the thin aluminum
Best food to eat before you start drinking, go!

Any benefit for slicing garlic razor thin?
>>8287812
>>>r/anime
>>8287812
cooks faster and distributes more evenly if you're mixing it in
i love garlic but i don't want a big chunk of it all in one bite
>>8287812
seems tedious, just dice it finely then mash it if you want good distribution

LOL. HAS HE KILLED HIMSELF YET?
Are buffalo wings hard/expensive to cook? I bought myself a big ass 1gallon of Franks' Red Hot buffalo sauce and now I don't want it, but it was kinda expensive (rare where I live) and I don't want to throw it away.
>>8287372
JUST COOK THE WINGS NORMALLY AND TOSS IN SAUCE AFTERWARDS. THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT. FRY THE WINGS FOR MAXIMUM EFFECT.
>>8287372
Nope, they are super easy.
Deep fry your wings until crispy. The traditional sauce would be a 50/50 mix of Frank's and melted butter. Just toss your wings in that after frying them.

Not if you catch the Buffalo yourself

Wait they did it again? I love those ones.
I never eat candy but, for some reason, I always buy the new M&Ms when they come out. Always. I eat about four and then give the rest away. Even if they look like shit. Birthday cake? Sure. Coffee beans? Why not. MEGA M&Ms? Sign me up. I'm a slave, I guess.
They brought them back like almost a two years ago. http://www.mms.com/us/product/crispy
does anyone ese here have syrup in their tea , or is it just me?
>>8287097
I BELIEVE ITS JUST YOU
>>8287097
Well if the syrup is made from water and sugar it's like adding normal water and sugar i guess.
I did it a couple of times because it's less time consuming than using normal sugar
Huh?

INCREDIBLE. I NEED MORE.
I just bought a slow cooker and want to make a really nice stew to break it in. Never used a slow cooker before and quite excited about it. Have a local butcher and thus can pick up meat and veg easily. Could I have a recc for a really nice stew please? Nothing with red wine though, I'm sick of that shit. Please and thank you.
I recently made a gumbo for the first time, and it took about ten hours but was worth the effort. It was the most time-intensive dish I've ever made. The link to the recipe I used is below:
Gumbo du Monde
http://www.gumbopages.com/food/gumbo.html
>>8286911
Sure.
Get some cubes of beef, season them with salt and pepper, then coat with flour. Brown them on all sides in a pan, then transfer them to your slow cooker.
Pour some homemade beef stock into the pan you used to brown the meat in order to deglaze it. Pour the stock & the fond from the pan into the slow cooker. Switch the cooker on.
After it's cooked for a few hours then add your vegetables and continue cooking until the meat is tender. If you add the veggies too soon then they'll turn to mush so the idea is to add them later in the cooking process.
>>8286938
Great info, will definitely use. That said, the homemade beef stock: isn't that a few trash cuts of meat, a sachet d'epices, some onions maybe and then boiling it down for about 6 hours?
>>8286959
Mainly bones, but include some meat as well. 2 lbs bones/scraps yeilds 1 quart of finished stock.
Gentle simmer, never boil.
I'd say more like 12 hours if you can spare the time. Or you can make the stock in your slow cooker, just let it run overnight then skim the fat off afterward.
What now?
is that liver?

Beef.

Disconnect the gas line. Blow up your house. Start over. Be someone different.
Thanks for the guy who recommended me gongfu style tea. Now I'm able to avoid drinking too much coffee. I'm using my western style teacup and now I understand why the asians use these microbowls.
When you brew western style you let the tea sit in the pan for 2 minutes then it cools much faster due to the larger surface are in contact with air. In gongfu style you supposed to brew for only a few seconds then it's much hotter because you didn't let it cool for minutes and the surface area is reduced, making it even harder to cool.
Also don't even try to brew green tea using westernt style. Black tea and mate is OK, green tea must be done asian style.

Hey man, glad you're enjoying it. Granpa style is also something to consider. Not all teas are good with it, cause it can draw some bitterness out. If you're at work and plan to drink for a long time it's very convenient.
>>8286267
Gonna try it. Tried cold brew yesterday and almost puked. Black tea works for cold brew but for some reason green tea gets too sweet.
hi /ck/
what are you top 3 favourite foods? not necessarily prepared in a certain way, but in general? i'm drunk and hungry and want to experiment with cooking.
for me it's:
swordfish
steak
potatoes
god damn i could eat swordfish all the fucking time it's delicious as fuck and i get it for ridiculously cheap from my friend. i am insanely grateful, hes a real ass nigga. i probably eat it like 3 - 4 times a week, i cant get enough of it. i get theres alot of mercury in it but honestly i dont really give a shit if i turn insane or blind or whatever happens with mercury fuck. swordfish is too fucking good my man.
as for steaks i eat that shit usually rare, delicious as fuck. when im not feeling the swordfish or want something different i go to my butcher and get some steak, i will either barbecue it or bake it or fry it, but admittedly im pretty inexperienced with steak because i mostly cook swordfish so i just do whatever method comes to me first. they always turn out pretty good but im sure yall niggas could offer advice in this regard or help me prepare it better
potatoes are just the GOAT sidedish/vegetable, got nothing back to say about these niggas. they good with everything
lets hear your favourite foods and shit
help a cu/ck/ out please
>>8286089
Pizza
Steak
...Don't really have a 3rd one that I define as a favorite food item as much as the other two.
i really like beans, like kidney beans, white beans
but my dad won't let me eat them anymore and I don't know why, i love beans.
Mushrooms
Gold potatoes
Beef, any and all cuts, but especially the kinds you need to slow roast
Honestly I kind of want to put mushrooms in every spot because god damn I love me some shrooms.
