I feel like it would be better to try and invest your excess money instead of letting it all rot in a bank account. The goal wont be to get insanely rich but just to make the best off what you have.

No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

tl;dr I have a 489 credit score and need a $4000 loan.

i knocked a(n evil) chick up 2 yrs ago. Decided to stay and love my daughter help raise her etc. Started building a home and life together. Things were stressful but good for awhile. One night we had a fight, she got very drunk, started whooping on me, our daughter woke up, anyway you all can probably see where this is going. l left the house bloody and beaten, she escapes with a small bruise on her neck from me trying to get her the fuck off of me. Came back the next day, she's gone, spend the day trying to clean the house and figure out what she stole from me. Go to friends house, trying to come home and the cops are calling saying she is there with her whole family, they need me to say what they can take blah blah blah (please come here so we can arrest you). I said i wasn't going to my house while they were there.. so they let them take whatever they wanted out of my house without me being there (they took a lot of my stuff). They didn't give up there, called my personal cell the next day and said if i didn't come down to the station, to give "my side of the story", they would put a warrant out for my arrest. Get to the station, he is telling me i beat up my daughter and her mom, which i didn't.. i brought up i had pics to prove it, and he started yelling and arrested me. Wouldn't even let me make a statement against her.

if you can't imagine, i'm fucking broke. car note, rent, insurance, like everyone else, and child support on top of that for my baby girl that i haven't seen in a year and a half.

So i got to court and got a public defender. They aren't going to do a single damn thing for me unless i pay them $5000. I have 1k in the bank from my tax return and I am really hurting to not dip into that. I need to but i need a lawyer worse. my credit score is 489 because i missed payments on my car trying to manage child support/rent/ everything al by myself while helping raise a child. Options?
