Post your monthly expenses and give advice to others thread?

Monthly Income - 1000(after tax)

>rent - 200
>phone - 45
>food - 150
>car insurance - 200
>gas - 75
>car maintenance - ???

Total bills - $670 + ???
Surplus - $330

Thinking about putting 200 of that 330 into savings, and spending the rest on whatever
>>
>>1189999
How do you get your rent so low? Are you renting from your parents?

I have a roommate and paying half the rent every month still comes out to more than what you pay.
>>
Buy/sell shit with that 300, you can turn 300 into 1 grand in under a year. Just mess around with flips.
>>
>>1190002
Yeah, my grandma is going to rent a new house and let me stay there with her and my sister for around only ~200 a month

How do you fuckers eat so cheap?

I buy mostly fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats. I rarely eat out. I spend around $600+ a month on food.

DYEL?
Do you live on Raamen and eggs, or what?

I usually have about 1100-12000 a month left over, which I save or invest. I live with my parents and they only request that I pay the cable bill, which is more than fair. I actually offered to pay a few other bills as well, but they declined.

I was saving over 3k a month until I got laid off in the oil field. Im working in a shop now for half my wage and stuck in a lease until December. At least the bills get paid. Im gonna pack up in December and go wherever the road takes me unless oil prices go back up.

Monthly income €1435 + €160 meal vouchers (most compagnies offer this as a non-statutory benefit here) So roughly ~1600 per month combined

I usually save about 1000 a month. Invest at least half in personal brokerage account, mostly consumer staples and foreign stocks. I do alright.

$70 internet + netflix
$30 TV

Total expenses: $610
My numbers are a little off, but its fairly close to that. My problem is that I fucked up a lot last year, and owe $4200 on my credit card, so I'm slowly paying that back. I've been denied a bank loan or I'd use that to pay the card

holly shit guys.. what kind of jobs are you guys doing, because in my country , after the ned of the month average worker is left with 0-100€ ..

I start my first real job in July. Should be about 2500 after taxes, but could be more if I have overtime.

I'm trying to do 700 tops for rent and utilities, hopefully a friend stays up in this area.
300 for student loans
500 for food and booze
500 for retirement
500 for everything else.

Does this sound realistic, /biz/?

you can buy a steak for $5 and cook it yourself.. seriously, its not that expensive.. $5 for a pack of ground beef and make up to 6 burgers with it (lasts 3 days).. Everything is cheaper if you make it yourself
>>
>>1193988
I eat fast food about twice a week, everything else I cook.

Where I live a ~10 ounce steak costs at least 10$

Easily 20$ for higher quality cuts

I worked in meat distribution for years so I know my meat prices senpai

A decent 5$ steak doesn't seem unreasonable in Midwest US though 2bh
>>
>>1193968
I know what you mean anon. my mother put my and my then expectant girlfriend up in her apartment for a few months and didnt hassle us about food, rent, utilities, anything.

she moved across the country and we moved down to move in with my girlfriends mother. she wants rent, food seperated, and she wanted the utility bill split right down the middle even though she had her other daughter and boyfriend living in the home.

mind you my family is way better off (father is attorney, mother is nurse practitioner; her father is on fraudulent disability and the mother works as an auto parts manager and grocery store clerk, yet still living paycheck to paycheck).

perhaps class has a role in it?

also before anyone says anything about us living with our parents at the time, it makes sense to save up money before having a child and that was the best way to do it. am now proud to say weve been completely on our own now for over a year and are slowly building our net worth together.

a little off topic but i believe my girlfriends stay with my family is what made her want to, thankfully, have a different lifestyle.

kind of a rant post but whatever.

Must've been some kike propaganda that made people think its acceptable to force their kids into wage slavery and milk them for rent after 18.

My irresponsible single mother was renting a place she couldn't afford without gov subsidies which ran out when I turned 18 and she made me pay rent for my room then.

My father refused to let me stay with him explicitly and implicitly multiple times yet wanted me to visit him (fuck paying 70 bucks a night for a hotel in some city you hate) and I ain't talking to him anymore.

If the family doesn't stick together its life on hard mode.

Strong family cohesion along with solid work ethics is why chinese and koreans immigrants are #winning in the west while the rest looses out more often than not.
