Say you have person A and B

Person A makes 100k/yr doing software development

Person B makes 70k/yr doings software development

On paper most people would assume person A makes more than person B.

What you don't hear is how person A pays 3,000/mo in rent and person B pays 600/mo in rent for a comparable place/sized apartment in a generally cheaper city.

Because people are dumb

I moved to a rural area from the city, and I got so much backlash its not even funny.

"But anon! There are no jobs out there!"

Well, I did get a job, and it pays 5K/year less than what I got before but my cost of living is around half what it was before, so my net earnings are 35% higher.

People are fucking stupid when it comes to money and finances, thats why average credit card debt is 16K.

The sooner you understand how useless everyone is, the easier life will be.

It's also pretty basic software.

Probably never. They only have plans on an Australian beta ( https://robinhood.com/au/).

> It's been X days, why isn't my account isn't verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.

> Is this the right place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
No, please go to Stocktwits, Plebbit, or one of our many chat groups.

> What's a good penny stock to invest in?
Don't buy penny stocks you cum guzzling mouth breathing retard.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Hey anons,

Amature coin collector here, been collecting for a number of years now and have quite a collection of coins (+ some notes & stamps) from around the world. I know there is a fuckload of money waiting to be made in the collectibles market and im looking to start up some kind of ebay store/physical store at fairs selling fairly low level or specialty coins to collectors (not $1000 pennies or uncirculating commemeratives like most do). Not aiming to make heaps of money (yet), mostly to find something to do with my hobby.

Anyway, lets have a coin thread to discuss coins and other collectibles, NOT BULLION COINS OR METALS DISCUSSION.

If anyone wants any info on rarity of coins, valuation or simply coin identification just post here and I (or another anon) might be able to help.

Ill start it off, some commemorative Australian coins, some of the first circulating coins to have permanent color on them, not worth a whole lot much more than their face value (except the round 50c which is 80% silver) but you can get a 25% to 50% increase on face value if you sell them online (especially to overseas collectors).

OFFICIAL STOCK OF /biz/ GET IN HERE

GXY - has a producing mine in Mt. Cattlin and a management with know-how for years now, had to shut the mine down since there was no interest for lithium in 2009-2012, but restarted it now in great supply shortage. has a lithium off-take agreement with mitsubishi, the production started two days ago. share price still massively undervalued. has a low-cost brine deposit in Sal de vida waiting for development.

My best choice for investment in the industry is GXY, they are the ONLY producing lithium company next to the "big five" (ALB, SQM, FMC, Tianqi, Ganfeng) with a shareprice that is massively undervalued and no debt in the company. Everybody else from the lithium junior developers are virtuals (companys with a research in their hand and a field infront of them).

GXY is a good investment, solid company, no debt, good experienced management with ties in china and year-long know-how in the industry, experience in the sector meaning they already did this for years now and most importantly they have a producing lithium mine which works and already produces, NO other company in that mkt.cap-range or SP has that. A bargain at the current price.

>How do I buy GXY

IF AUSSIE: GXY
IF BURGER: GALXF (Traded on OTC Market)
IF EURO: GXYA:F

>Can I Trade w/ Robinhood

NO. Only LARGE PROFESSIONAL brokerages trade. If you have to ask this question or any questions regarding how to trade OTC I recommend you go back to your memecoins

>Is this a Pump & Dump?!?!!

NO. GXY trades, on average, 8,000,000 shares on any given day with the previous weeks topping out at 15,000,000 shares. This is several millions of dollars worth on money being invested here.

>What is your price target

Assuming lithlium prices continue their unprecedented rise (up 50% for the year) and since GXY is actually mining then we expect to hit at least $2.50 which is their previous high

More or less first time investor, potentially looking to buy stock in AMD. I'd probably be looking at buying $500 to a few thousand worth. I'd be holding them at least until sometime late this year, if not for several years.

I've a number of misgivings. First of all I've no background in engineering or computing so maybe I'm being a complete idiot by pretending I know anything about the business at all. Their stock price is near record lows and been especially volatile this year. From what I gather they're pretty much leaving the driverless car thing and every other emerging parallel processing market to NVidia, so who knows how that's going to affect the business in the medium to long term. They've got other persistent problems in basic marketing and so on that aren't going to get fixed any time soon.

What I'm betting on is their clawing back some of their market share in traditional GPUs this year, which currently hangs at something like 20%, down from 40-50% half a decade ago. Polaris will beat Pascal in the home computer market by months at least. They've also secured deals to have their GPUs packaged with the new Mac computers, and of course the PS4, Xbox One and the new refresh for the PS4 (if it is indeed happening) will continue to use AMD hardware. *If* they make a good comeback in the GPU market this year, not only will they build up some momentum again against NVidia in years to come, but they might have a hope of being competitive in the CPU market and chip away at Intel who've gotten pretty damn complacent the last couple years (although you can very well argue that they've gotten complacent because they can afford to be, their chips have been crushing AMD for ages).

I guess the biggest concern is that it's looking like this is the do or die year for AMD; they *have* to win big this year or they're gonna die a slow, painful death via steamroll.

So do you guys think it has reasonable prospects in the mid-long term or is it way too risky?

Pascal will end up being a better product. Nvidia has more name power and fanboys than AMD.

Did you see AMD's q1 earnings report? Not all that great. Its a gamble.
>>
They had hype back in 2012 but the train died down quick

Intel and Nvidia are the leading GPUs for VR. AMD doesn't really do anything well and apple's stock dropped when investors heard they're using cheaper stuff to make their products.

If you read AMD's Q1 earnings like >>1208097
said, you could tell they're operating pretty badly. I would say it's a big gamble, especially when it looks like investors are worried about a recession.

Investors are already worried about tech companies like microsoft and apple having slower growth/revenues. I would rather go long on GPRO and other VR competitors.
>>
Buy AMD bonds and you may have a chance to recover when the stock gets delisted and company bankrupt.

- Anyone here have a successful and durable experience in forex trading ?
- What's techniques did you use ?
- With how much money did you begin ?
- Gives me advice for a beginner like me, please.

I am really sad when i read specialized forums in forex, why?
Because all the trading journal I read ends the same way :
They end up losing all their gains and have their account to 0 dollars, after 6 months or 1 year.

I need testimonials from people who really live forex successfully since several years.
http://forums.babypips.com/newbie-island/70214-truth-about-forex-you-cant-become-rich.html

I think this method is the best to learn forex or index cfd:

Depositing tiny amount less than € 200 and try to make it grow until 1000, once in 1000 reached 900 withdraw.
With the remaining € 100, try to grow them again to € 1,000, remove 900 ... etc.
Do it 10 times successfully
Instead of dropping € 50,000, losing after six months, redeposit € 20,000 and lose again after one week.

Warning : this thread is only for winner in forex market.

This method will work in forex:

Find some super simple and narrow strategy, stick to it with 0 human error and good money management. Never get cocky and stick to your rules at all times.

>Depositing tiny amount less than € 200 and try to make it grow until 1000, once in 1000 reached 900 withdraw.

Any proper forex strategy will never allow you to grow 200 to 1k in the short term because it involves so much risk that it's for sure not profitable in the long run. The cockyness needed to aim for even a doubling of your bankroll in the timespan of a year probably makes you unfit to trade the forex based on your personality.

Unless you're the best forex trader in the world avoid high variance at all costs. You're gonna have months where everything goes your way and you feel like the best forex trader in the world(while sticking to a narrow system), this is where people destroy their bottom line by getting cocky and deviating from their system. Don't be one of those guys. You can make good money knowing nothing outside of your own little narrow trading world in the forex, but it's down to your own discipline.

You could teach someone to be profitable trading forex in a day. See x - observe for y to happen - use z to put on limits. If you're in doubt avoid the trade. You're obviously not gonna get rich quickly doing this, but any get rich schemes on the forex is pure gambling super high variance >-1% roi strategies.

Institutional trader/dealer here, spot fx and derivatives.
You really have no idea what you are talking about.

I have been following these threads with morbid interests for a while, this shit is absurd. Between clinically braindead OP making these threads everyday instead of finding a job and the alaska guy trying to steal money from dumb neets giving him free stuff...well, what can i say.
You guys have no education whatsoever, never saw a single one of you compiling a shred of statistics, and yet here you are giving advices like you are hot stuff. If it's not you, it's going to be some other 12 yo kid claiming he is some high frequency trader guru using big words taken from investopedia, lmao.

Social darwinism at its finest. Your money is really better off in someone else's hands. Strategies like OP requested (that is, stable and robust strats) are usually worth millions. Really. I have seen people with proprietary strategies getting paid 6 zeroes sums just to manage money (big money) with their strats.
And yet, OP here requests them for free. Top kek

>as per me, turned a meager 750£ in well over 200k between 2011 and 2013, switched to lower risk and sent my track record to a bank.
