TV would disapear , im serious, a good 80-90% of channels are barely making it right now only being held up by shitty commercials for shitty products that will not exist in a few months TOPS cause no one watches commercials anymore
everyone i know has a pvr, prerecords atleast a portion of whatever show they want, then skips the commercials
If the companies knew they are getting next to no gain from this they would stop buying airtime on tv, TV would finally die the death it deserved 10 years ago and kids might actually go outside

>anything else which I need to start up this

You look for a lab nearby. Live near any big health or pharma campuses? You might get a good deal if you strike up a conversation with a few analysts. Pay for a fucking test. Whatever costs you'll incur will be WELL WORTH IT when some corporate smuck decides to crawl up your ass to try and slap you with a takedown notice or a challenge of your claims. Labels can be mass printed at a retailer of your choice once you have your nutritional facts sorted - you can also invest in machinery yourself. I don't know your budget so go fuck yourself on that one.
If you don't mind dealing with the occasional 'lost' shipment, you can probably set up a good few runs through alibaba or taobao but it's your fucking life and budget.
Just get your health and safety in order and get your lab tests done. Nobody cares if your dump friends get a stomach ache from this shit, but a consumer can sue your ass to hell and back.
I'm a male residing in a middle-class area, how stupid would it be to open up a jewelry shop? Are the days of successful jewelers over?
I have a B.A in computer science and a MBA, but there are too many computer services in my area to compete.
I live in an affluent area of Georgia and there are a handful of jewelers here, and they are making bank.
I Imagine that the initial startup cost is high though.
Also I know the most successful jeweler in my town and he told me he has been robbed at gunpoint 7 times.
Also I legit think you need to be Jewish to get the right supply connections.
Anybody on here who is in the finance or accounting field use a personal laptop for a lot of work related tasks? Just curious if its needed and/or helpful in that field or not.
Prob buy 2 in case your coworker needs one or you accidentally leave it on your desk at night
I'm a student studying to either get into Pharmacy and Medicine (no loans, mom's willing to pay for almost all of it) but I want to start making some money.
Should I get into investing and shit? I don't have a clue about any of this and would like some starting points

You need money to make money. Do you have money to invest?
>>1391543
My dad constantly gives me cash every week or so and I just save it up, I was planning on putting it into a separate account. I could use that money
Where do most investors get their news from?
I'm not talking about just the news relating to some firms, but the news about world events which may influence the prices of various commodities.

Any tips for searching for a job? Currently have a part time one at my university, but would like some tips when it comes time to inevitably leave.

Is there something as doing too many internships? I'm about to finish my MSc studies (business) and have already worked for 5 firms during the ~6 years of my studies. Durations vary between 2-11 months, quite different fields as well, how is this regarded once I graduate and look for a real job. As someone who has insight into various fields and has a broad range of experience, or a typical millenial who doesn't know shit about what to do with his life and has no loyalty whatsoever (kinda the truth)?
>>1391316
Youll probably be fine. People switch jobs all the time and employers have seen this before.
I am not a professional HR guy or a CEO but the only issue I ever had with internships is the unpaid ones. To me, if someone tells me they worked in an unpaid internship for 3 or 4 months or whatever that just tells me that they do not value their own abilities nor think they deserve payment for them. I have also seen enough about how much "hard work" unpaid interns do (I don't blame em though because I wouldn't be busting my ass or anything for free either) to know that their work ethic is not as good as someone who worked for a check.
Just my two cents on internships. Someone with more recruiting experience could give you another opinion on it. Having experience is always better than none of course so I think you will be fine OP with the internships you've done. Most recruiters know that interns don't stick around for a long time, otherwise they wouldn't be interns.
What are some jobs I can get away with spending half the day shitposting on 4chan? I miss the neet life and want cozy job where I can browse the internet on the clock since that's what I'd be at home much of the time anyway.
The only jobs that come to mind are dead overnight security/call center/whatever shifts and some IT jobs. Anyone have any ideas?
security guard, babbysitter, suicide-watch personell
I know lots of you guys have jobs that let you fuck around all the time. Tell me your secrets.
social worker, or work for government
Working on a web startup with a partner. It's his idea, however he needs my expertise/knowledge to get the idea off the ground.
I've never done this before, how the fuck do I determine startup equity? What should I be asking for if I'm only going to work about 8-10 hours a week on this?
Anyone have any advice on equity for startups?
Steal his idea and become the new zuckerberg
So I got my own one-man business for about 6 months now. Things are going alright, but if I want it to grow I basically need to become famous do a lot of marketing, and make a brand out of myself.
However I do not want to be famous and I hate marketing. I despise media-whores. I don't understand this obsession people have with famous people and I can't see why a famous person is any better then the guy who delivers my pizza.
What do? Should I just sell-out and take the cock in my mouth? Should I steamroll my ego over everyone and show the buckos or should I stop this shit and get a normie job to live comfy?
>>1391239
bump
The key word in "sell out" is sell.
Lots of people that "refused to sell out" that are living under a bridge now.
>>1391239
sell out and try to change the way plebs see famous people.
complete business retard, starting economics degree soon, how screwed am I when it comes to starting up a business if I'm I come from an average white middle class family? Is business school overrated?
>>1391212
Get into CS instead if you want to start a business - the field is growing rapidly, and the pays and profits are very good.
Also, you only need very basic economics and finance to do business. Maybe take a few courses in micro and macro economics, and it will suffice. Also, the main thing to know how to perform proper market analysis and make a business plan.
