1. Open self-directed broker account at your bank/discount brokerage
2. Buy $VOO as often as possible(at least 1-2 times a month)
3. Hold for 20-30 years, adjust for necessary volatility

That is all

14% of $100 is still only $14.

Starting a little web design agency. LLC? C-Corp? What do you guys think is best for something like this?
Thanks

Just do 1099 contract work. The liability protection doesn't matter/exist for you and you'll just be paying fees to the state.

It's certainly easier to find work these days than in the depths of the Great Recession. But, a good job is still hard to find. Among the 10 jobs projected to grow the fastest in coming years, half pay less than $25,000 a year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. And three-quarters pay less than the typical annual wage of $35,540.

Many of these hot jobs are in health care. As the country ages, more of us will need medical and personal assistance. So personal care aides, home health aides and nursing assistants, which all pay $12 an hour or less for a 40-hour workweek, are on the list, which looks at the occupations that will grow the most (in terms of numbers) between 2014 and 2024. The only health care job that pays well and that's adding lots of positions is registered nurse, which comes with a median wage of $66,640.

The prevalence of low-paying positions and lack of wage growth are big reasons why so many Americans feel so down about the economic recovery.

Welcome to the new tertiary economy.
>>
>>1397543

The only thing keeping these jobs alive is the low barrier to entry so when there's job growth and the supply of labor is growing wages will just have to go down as there's more people that would be willing to work for something instead of getting nothing

These jobs are also likely to be the first automated when the cost of the tech can save more money than the current wages companies have to pay. A McDonalds job is busy work, you are on your feet and expected to be doing something every second but the pay is shit

That's not enough.

Depending on your job stability it's best to keep 1-6 months expenses in a chequing account.

No amount is too small if you're actually "investing" (long-term), or straight up gambling (whether that be in a casino or stocks).
So unless you're planning on trading financial instruments for income full-time, I'd say you're good to go.

I have a few questions.

How did the Brexit effect the economy, and why is the US stronger now? (or am I wrong?)

What the hell is a packet, one of my jobs is filming townhall board meetings and when state guys come in and have to present big things that altar things they talk about packets being created or moved. Investopedia doesn't tell me anything.

How will the implosion of the EU hurt the US, Japan, and Russia?

(I'm just trying to write an extra credit paper for my macro class about an article but every article I find is micro)

Indices worldwide are having a rally because investors know more global risk means central banks will adopt dovish postures which mostly benefit stock as sovereign bonds will decrease yields, Europe and Japan already have NIRP policies in place so there's no other place for investor to park their capital other than stock.

If and when it'll implode it's anyone's guess.
>>
>>1397536

So does this mean the value of capitol is becoming unstable and more risky so stock is the only sustainable means of savings?
>>
>>1397550
Low bond yields make investors seek more risky assets in search of better gains, I wouldn't call it sustainable per se.

Would a rental service be profitable?

I was thinking of renting out cheap tablets for a week or two at a time (like, $100 - $200 worth). Additionally, I have a ton of gamepads for various consoles (including USB versions) I collected that I don't really use anymore and want to put to use and rent those out also.

Good idea or Bad idea?

I could see renting tablets, but the chance of getting burned.

Gamepads though? Who the fuck would even want to pay to rent that?
>>
>>1397632
yeah I realized the gamepad idea sounded dumb as soon as I made the thread. Though besides Tablets, also thinking of doing GoPro cameras also.

Investing isn't as complicated as the financial industry wants to make it out to be.

You don't need to know financial valuation models to make good investments and you don't need to examine 10 different graphs before making a good investment.

80% of finding good investments is pure strategical analysis i.e. common sense regarding a company's products, market, competition and future prospects. The last 20% is a DCF valuation, so I suppose you can read about that on investopedia to give yourself an edge.

Alright I was wondering if anyone has ever tried using a burner number to create accounts for uber or uber eats so they can just send them the referral codes and get free stuff? It is legal or safe? Can anyone offer advice or suggestions for how I would go around doing this stuff?

>>
>>1396790
Don't they force your referrals to use a certain amount of services before you get anything?

If not, they are pretty stupid.
>>
>>1396799
For uber your referral will get $20 off their first free ride and once they use the service you will also receive the discount. For many of these referral services there seems to be no certain amount.
