Networking isn't a meme, but you don't have to force it. Stay good friends with people you feel are smart and responsible. Stay good friends with people that are popular. Respect your teachers, talk to them after class if only for 30 seconds, do your work.
There are so many ways to authentically network in college without waking up and saying "I'm going to dress to the nine, go hand out my shitty business cards, and netwerk1!"

Interest is applied at the end of the month for whatever the remaining balance is that you haven't paid off yet. If you pay off your balance in full every month, you won't be paying any interest.
Ideally you spend 2-300 with actual money you have, like cash or a debit card. You should really only use your credit card to make a couple very small purchases each month and pay them off in full each month. This helps to build a good habit and build good credit. Don't spend money you don't have. Don't use your card if you know for certain you couldn't pay off the bill at the time of spending it.

I work in a finance department of a big company, occasionally we get sales calls usually asking to speak to a manager that's already left. I just take their number and say we will ring them back if interested and never tell anyone. The bosses would not want me bothering them with that shit, there are people whose job it is to source the best suppliers we don't need cold calls or emails.

All human psychology and spending habits are related to our tribal circuitry as a species that evolved from tribes of 100 to 150 people.
Meaning, fashion, high quality cars, big homes, dressing well, cologne, all indicators of high status are related to attracting women, again a tribal mindset.
We use Facebook because it allows use to conveniently spy on our neighbors without getting caught, as we would in a small neighborhood or as a small tight-knit community.
We use Pokemon Go because it is the same tribal mindset, of tracking down and hunting prey, even though the prey is entirely virtual and not a bison or say a deer to hunt and skin.
We use Twitter because it allows us to express our opinions, similar to a town square. What are some basic sociological needs you can think of, of living in a tribe?
I like the idea of building something, it's innate, men like to build, to gather tinder or wood or other things and build. Women like to talk, socialize, find out more about the tribal hierarchy.
If you can find a way, to channel at least one of those needs partially, you'll be insanely rich.
