I've got nothing to lose - I've done everything I have wanted to in this life already, travelled, relationships, jobs etc. I'm satisfied with it all.

So I've got 60k and I am wondering on how to make it bigger when loss isn't a concern - I call it "Anon's conjecture - life can only get better from here: make it big or kill myself" (catchy name right?)

Please advise.

Klarman - Margin of Safety

Martin Shkreli recommended this book on the basis that it isnt 'get rich fast' bs and it helps you become more critical and objective

> used copies cost over 1000 dollars ("a lot of money")

So my goal is $10 each day, how long do I have to spend doing this shit everyday?

Someone with experience, please tell me. If there's a better way to get $10 each day online, let me know. $300 each month is a lot of money for doing literally nothing.

no shit. It's not meant to be a main source of income just extra on the side. If you have a 9-5, 40 hour a week job sitting in front of a computer then something like mTurk is perfect.

With that said I tried it for a little and got lazy. You have to be really self-disciplined. Luckily O got a good job while in school and make enough swing trading on Robin Hood

If you're from the US look for some sites that plays video-ads and pay you something like that. It was here a few weeks ago, forgot the site's name.

If you're not from the US then forget these sites, I've tried a few and they decline you or pays like $0.02/day.

$10/day is my first online goal too, I'll try trading cryptos from today with only ~80$. That's all I can risk right now.

Is trading crypto currencies worth it? There's so much opportunity for it. You get up to 1000% pumps. Meanwhile, in the stock market a 20% fluctuation is enough to give everyone raging boners. So why isn't crypto trading more popular?

Also, how do I maximize profits? I tried hopping in on a few pumps on yobit, but I'm always too late.

Yo' should I write a business plan? or should I just keep a informal binder of all my market, customer research and pricing and costings?

sure, why not?
it can't take much more of your precious time than posting on 4chan and waiting for responses does.

Exactly! Baby steps towards not being a lazy fuck and becoming a real human being is precisely what I'm going for.
Now, what the fuck should a business plan consist of, I and by "should" I don't mean what is "advised" I mean what is actually going to be useful to me in the foreseeable in terms of content?

Like for example, do I put in revenue projections? Is there any dang point to doing that, shouldn't I just assume that we'll run at a loss at first?
Should I write what my price point is expected to be, or just the research of competitor's selling prices and the estimated costings?

How much detail do you put into a marketing plan

"We will use SEO to attract potential buyers" or should I write down which actual keywords I intend to get on the SERP of, what times of year I expect to get more clicks as seasonal demand etc. etc. etc.

So the other day I decided to take all my scattered finances and just have one bank account. I opened up a checking account at a local credit union here in FL. I had them refinance my vehicle (for the same interest rate) just so I could consolidate everything. Well I just looked at my new checking account online and it appears they made a mistake, they refinanced my auto loan but they also deposited $12,625 the cars value into my checking account...This was obviously a bank error. I went back and pulled out my paper work that we signed in the banks office and there it was written on the refinance agreement a deposit of $12,625. We both signed it. Is this money legally mine? This is not exactly a bank teller mistake where they just deposited someone else's money into the wrong account. We both signed the agreement. Should I speak to an attorney? Is there a statue of limitations? I'm willing to give it back but not if I don't have to..

double check that your car loan was actually paid off. It's possible they just lent you the money and you have to take care of the transfer?
>>
Leave it for a long time and deposit and withdraw money and then just say you didn't notice
>>
>>1665125
I didn't think of that. I assumed they would handle that themselves. I'll check that now.

>tfw reading a money, banking, and financial system textbook to freshen up on what I studied in college

Workers in this industry are real sly weasels. The innovation comes through finding loopholes in regulations and other laws. It's fascinating that this entire industry thrives on the intent of earning more money. And personally, this system of perpetual borrowing just doesn't make sense to me. Subsequently they've managed to create money out of thin air, seemingly. Can this system last much longer?

I've got a lot left to read, so maybe it will make more sense then.

If the US recovered from the financial crisis by 2010-2011, why is everyone in such a tizzy about it?

Is it just a fundamental misunderstanding of what caused it?

1.) My boss
Runs a start-up metallurgical company. Ambitious. Great at sales and working with people, less great at technical work.
2.) Coworker A
Works at the start-up metallurgical company. Dumb as a rock - conspiracy theorist who smokes too much weed.
3.) Coworker B
Also works at the start-up metallurgical company. Basically a mom. Nice enough.
4.) Friend A
Works at the gym I go to, isn't going to school anywhere, not going too far in life. Trying to help her figure out what to do with her life.
5.) Friend B
Is a free-spirited chick. An archer and artist who wants to travel the world.
6.) Girlfriend
Is a medical technician. Very bright but not very ambitious.

I'll probably end up in the metallurgical industry, kind of fit, pretty outdoorsy, and I'll travel when I can. Sounds about right.

Just depends what company you work for. If you work for a good company you can have a good time selling insurance.

Problem is that if you have a conscience it may start to bother you selling a Jew meme to people.

Is starting a hedge fund worth it? Taking into account competition and startup costs.
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1664755
yes, the moment you start a hedgefund you're already fucking retired, or you wouldn't have the capital to start it in the first place.
>>
i covered hedge funds at an old job.

if you don't already have a lot of investors lined up (they don't need to have checks written, but you should have soft circled a lot people who are able/willing to invest that you have a positive relationship with) then the odds of making a living out of it are not great.

hedge fund seeding platforms are, on the whole, a terrible deal and it basically plants a time bomb in the firm.

decent prime brokerage is quite expensive, and most of the good ones will not accept clients below $25 or $50m in assets.

my experience in covering hedge funds:
-some had a good idea/strategy, and raised money easily and quickly
-some had a good idea/strategy, but were so shitty at marketing that they would never raise much money. they were my favorite. i could invest with them for a long time.
-most were doing something that was unremarkable and not worth even normal fees, much less whatever they wanted to charge
-and some were basically adult day cares for the idiot sons of multi-millionaires, and were never intended to actually raise assets.
>>
>>1664755
you should start up a private equity firm, anon.
