I'm really more concerned about whether this would realistically cause a crash - high debt and low income spells a terrible future for the housing market at the least, but if people aren't able to spend then companies can't make profits and demand drops, which causes a negative feedback loop.

When I was at my interviews I asked around and the highest PCAT (the pharm school admission test) score I got out of like 70 people overall was a 72 composite percentile.
I got a 95.
I'm afraid that pumping the field full of idiots is gonna ruin wages and the saturation will make it harder to get a job

Pharmafag here. The job market saturated in many highly populated areas. New schools opened are recently pumping out new grads. The job market is thus not keeping up with the supply.

I wouldn't say it's horrible. I see no pharmacists not working as a pharmacist, but the trend is not very inviting.

Also unless you work for the VA, your "clinical" skills as a pharmacist even in a hospital are miniscule at best unless you're trying to impress other lesser pharmacists.

Overall the pay is pretty sweet and it's a clean area of healthcare. The requirements to do non-retail jobs though are growing. More employers are wanting residencies and board certifications.

When a new business model is created that allows cinemas to make money without selling $10 bags of Skittles.

If a country has no competitive advantage I would assume you go isolationist. However it's not black and white, a lot of it comes down to neighbouring nations so location matters a lot

If the country has no comparative advantage, the market will devalue its currency until it gets one.

And protectionism is a bad thing because it gives consumers the disadvantages of a lower currency without giving exporters the advantages.

If the borders are kept open then and ownership rights are respected, then:
Foreign companies will flood the market.
Local companies get destroyed.
People will start working at foreign companies.
The economy improves.
Locals can now start their own businesses.

Opening the borders destroys the local businesses on the short term, but helps the country in the long term.
