Does arbitrage sportbetting work? How dangerous is it? Hoe much can you make?
It does work, the bulk of profits are derived from sign up offers and once they dry up you may aswell give up. So if you live in UK or somewhere with similar access to bm's you can probably make £1k.
The risk is price moves, voided bets that arent voided on the other and human error.
To a professional sports better new accounts are worth much more that what you could possibly make arbing though.

My company offers me to buy stock at a 20% discount. The rate of the stock is fixed ("normal" average of the rate of the stock at last 10 BoD meetings).
I have to keep it for 5 years, and can only prematurely cash out if I die or of I get fired (no intention of doing either).
Max bet is 7.5k (i'm not that loaded btw).
Common sense is saying I only throw some 200 at it, because anything bigger would be dangerous (no diversification is bad).
Does anyone disagree with this?
What industry does the company serve? How large is it? Is it in a growth stage?
>>1942265
Jack of all trades construction firm active in some EU and African countries. They say they're trying to expand
Note: I'm not really qualified to assess whether they're doing "good" or "bad". I'm just wondering whether the 20% discount they give warrants (mathematically?) to forego some of the usual caution.
It basically comes down to "do you expect the company to perform more than 20% worse than the stock market in general over the next 5 years"
Assuming they won't be that shitty, and assuming that you'd dump your excess money into various stocks or stock-based funds anyway, and assuming you don't have any problems with the 5-year wait, then the discount is like them giving you free money. I think the discount trumps diversification.

Yeah, needs context.
I wasn't the one solely responsible for the firing in my case, but they hired this really attractive young guy. He seemed to think he could get away with saying sexually harassing things to all the women at the workplace because they were all attracted to him. He was asking the busty girls if their backs hurt and talking about his sister in really awkward ways - it was like /b/ went to /fit/ and then got a job. There was other shit going on, too - he tried to claim an accident he had at home on worker's compensation by faking the same injury at work the next day, but he got his dates mixed up.
Another wasn't fired, but she was definitely not a good fit for ANY workplace - she got the job and then immediately started trying to get pregnant with her boyfriend after going full-time. She also tried to quit smoking during this time, and even though she was a new hire, she started bossing everyone around while doing hardly any work, citing quitting smoking as the source of her bitchiness and getting really catty with the other girls.
She still works there. I quit for greener pastures yesterday.
I have a guaranteed method of getting 20-23% annual returns on something, as good as a savings account.
I'm not gonna say what it is, but my question is how much of my investment portfolio should I allocate to this? Am I likely to see better returns elsewhere?
Any advice on what percentage to allocate to this? I want a pretty aggressive portfolio.
>>1941662
>guaranteed 20%
If you mean the odds are actually 100%, then you should allocate the entirety of your portfolio. That beats index funds by over 100%.
If you mean it's risky but you're confident in it, it depends on how risky it is and how risk-tolerant you are.
>>1941662
Do you see anything else "guaranteeing" a 20% return on investment?
If you do, then split your investment. But realistically, nothing guarantees that high of a return, so if you're absolutely 100% confident in that guarantee and the legality of your venture, then you should be investing 100% of your money in that venture because no alternative guarantees a return even close.
However, to play Devil's advocate here, what makes you think that you're the one to unlock the secret to guaranteed 20% gains on your investment? How does that realistically happen?
>>1941672
I consider it a 98-99% chance of getting the full return and 1-2% chance of losing some percentage up to 5-10% in the event of some crazy circumstance but a 0% chance of losing the whole thing.
My question here is: What are the expected returns for "stocks", "bonds", etc. and what percentage would you recommend allocating into them? Because this investment might require me to act kind of quickly.
I consider myself risk-tolerant, at least enough that I've gambled in crypto a lot before, so I think I can handle risk. Note this is not at all crypto-related though in any way.
>>1941678
My hesitation was because I was thinking I could possibly try more risky investments, like the kind talked about on this board, to get an even higher return. Should I be settling for 20-23% a year when I might be able to make that much in a day or week trying to trade crypto or on the stock market?
I am assured in the legality of this venture but I think the reason less people invest in it is because it requires you to not touch your money for a while. It's not a CD, but lacks liquidity similarly to a CD for a minimum of 12 months and I could do more if I like it.
It is true I will not need this money though but I am hesitant and that is why I have come here to ask.
What allocation of portfolio would you recommend allocating to what level of risk and potential returns? Keeping in mind I want an aggressive portfolio as I am young.

It's a long story, but the short version is that I won a small claims suit against Airbnb but they won't pay! I have to garnish their bank account, but I have no way of gathering banking their banking info so that I can file the paperwork with the courts. Does anyone have any pointers on how to figure out where these assholes do their banking? I'm in the state of Arizona, not sure if that makes a difference.
Thanks to anyone who might know how to figure this out.

I'll start:
I've successfully managed to launch two websites within the past couple months and have already made a few sales from Amazon, 100% from SEO traffic. Great milestone! Looking forward to potentially earning more and getting more top 10 page rankings.
My method:
1. Find a fairly unsaturated niche (you can do this by browsing hot products on Amazon)
2. Buy a domain and use WordPress for editing, make website look nice
3. Write a few articles a week per website that contain hot yet noncompetitive keywords
4. Set website/articles up for SEO (easy with plugins)
5. See Google traffic within 2 weeks of starting a website (1-3 clicks/day is about what I get after 2 weeks, but it's better than nothing... only goes up from there).
Also looking to go into PPC but I'm not comfortable yet dumping a bunch of money into it to see what works and what doesn't.
>>1941159
>Find a fairly unsaturated niche (you can do this by browsing hot products on Amazon)
If the products are popular, doesn't that imply that the niche is competitive?
Do you just look at best selling products on Amazon or what?
>>1941163
I use other methods too for finding niches (it's really easy once you start trying them out), but Amazon hot products is a good place to start.
To know if a niche is saturated or not, use a keyword tool. I'd recommend you some but I don't think that's allowed, so just Google around. Keyword tools let you see how often people search something per month and how much competition (other websites using the same keyword) is out there. Using those numbers, you want to shoot for maximum searches while still maintaining lower competition.
For example, "how to body build" could be extremely saturated, but "how to body build for men" could be much less saturated, and also a lot more targeted. (not sure if these are actually saturated or not, just an example).
>>1941173
Interesting stuff. I guess those are those "long tail" keywords I keep hearing about.
Do people really search for such specific things? I suppose they must otherwise it would be an ineffective method. I'm looking into SEO at the moment for my dropshipping site. Interesting stuff.
