>that's why ya gotta get an education kid
Why are boomers hard wired to say this over and over? This video is a perfect example of how literally every boomer male talks to each other.
Education has a cult-like following in our culture where it's repeated over and over again that you can only be successful through the marxist institution of the education industrial complex.
If you're under 18 and reading this you should literally just drop out and work somewhere or go straight to community college, or just go to high school part time. Last I checked, it's still legal to get a GED at 14, or 16 despite what your good goy councilor tells you. The last two years of my high school I only attended for 4 hours a day, while the good goys slaved away in AP classes, never building any work ethic. Now I have more money than most of them and successfully run a business.
Also, the counselor can't tell you what to fucking do, despite their threats. As long as you've got a ""pathway"" toward graduation, you're fine. This also includes lying and saying you plan on being held back, then leaving early getting your GED.
>h-how do I discover m-myself?
That'll come later, either at 18, or 38. Doesn't matter. Don't stress over this. Once you're earning money, after a while you can take a year or two off and pursue your dreams and be creative about it without needing college.

I agree to some extent OP but I think kids should at the bare minimum finish high school.
College on the other hand is only worth it if you go for something worthwhile. If you plan on getting a History degree or some stupid shit like that, don't bother.
Over the past decade or so, there has been a tremendous push to get everyone to go to college. This has dumbed the curriculum down and deflated the value of a college degree, all while making the cost of the education skyrocket. Most people believe college is becoming more and more important, but I would argue that it's a catch-22, because as society *believes* it is becoming more and more important, it's becoming more and more expensive and more and more dumbed down, therefor the cost, both real and opportunity costs are making college less and less worth it.
Just like the housing bubble in the mid 2000's, I believe we are in the middle of an enormous education bubble that is about to pop. It won't be our teachers, our parents, our guidance counselors, our professors, etc who will be blamed for it either. It's going to be those evil right wing Republicans who will be blamed for not subsidizing education even more.

Can't wait to see colleges become deserted like all of the ghost shopping malls around America. It already happened with ITT Tech.
That leaves us with one question /biz/, what do we do when every town has an abandoned college or university?
My idea is to turn them into a giant co-working centers, with businesses occupying a classroom or two.
By god, that would be my dream /biz/, seeing America with young bright entrepreneurs in these former godforsaken government education monoliths. The elite and the filthy kikes will kill themselves at the sight of happy people with bright smiles fulfilling their passions and dreams instead of what we see today in schools: slaves mindlessly being taught to conform and comply.
Either way there will be winners and losers. Some will go into massive debt and never recover, while others will get rich. It's better than what we have now.
How to profit from the upcoming conflict with North Korea?
>Go long oil
>Go long NOC, LMT, etc
>???
Trump has shown a preference to using tomahawks, so maybe RTN
The """"Conflict"""" would be a week long if it happened. The real money's in the rebuild. Find public companies with large income from USAID No-Bid contracts. A bunch of the big ones like Chemonics are employee owned, but do some research and you should find a few opportunities.

Being rich or poor is basically just a matter of who knows the password to the bank account
When you're rich your bank account will likely be a marginal amount of your assets.
>>1945426
Did you think this was somekind of profound realization? You can say the same thing about car and house keys.

Is living all interest a meme or is it possible? Pretty much everybody I know claim that if they win the lotto. They would just live off the interest.
Obviously not a meme if you have enough capital and aren't looking to live large off the interest.
>>1945359
If the interest is higher than your expenses, then yes, you can live on it. The fact that you had to be told this tells me that you are likely more retarded than the poorfags who would put $100,000,000 in a fucking savings account.

I calculated I only need $7mil to live this way happily. If you have an extra $7m I'd like to please use it for my lifetime I'll will it back to your family in 30 or 40 years tops. ty

how does one go about finding the cheapest insurance? I really don't think I can afford full coverage and the vehicle is a shit-tier ford from 2000.
>inb4 no insurance and profit
>inb4 kneepads
>>1945218
You fill in online quotes and then go with the best offer.
Just call around.
Pro-tip: the insurance companies that aren't all over the place with ads and billboards are the cheapest.
Just think those companies that advertise a shitload, where do you think they get their money from?
I use Amica and I like them.
>how do I go about finding the cheapest insurance
Buy a goat, slit its throat, then rub the blood on your cock.
How do find the cheapest anything? shop around. This is basic shit.
if fiat fails you have bigger problems then buying crypto.
also gov would make it's own crypto and btc wouldn't still reach the Moon.

the money is in selling your shit, not buying up others shit.
How frugal are you?
Do you use family cloth yet? (reusable toilet paper)
how is it frugal if you need a second washer to clean that shit?
Disgusting.
I never use paper plates or cups, and I try to avoid using paper towels whenever possible. Poor people like to use them because there's no washing. For fucks sake just wash your dishes.
So why arent you buying golem now that its dipped? Nowhere to go but up.

wow thanks anon! i made a ten thousand dollar purchase based off this
IT support. I've had 2 jobs in this industry, one was a glorified call center and the other one was in house IT team. I've handed in my notice and this is my final week.
I didn't have any plan for what to do when I quit other than to "try and find what I enjoy" but I don't really have any passions. I don't really enjoy IT support. I'm in the process of setting up a dropshipping website, I've started writing an ebook and I'm about halfway through.
I've just had a recruiter call me about another desktop support position in the center of London for an asset management company. Now this might be a fantastic position, but I also am doubtful of whether I enjoy this career, in fact I would say I don't like it at all.
Is it worth taking this job since I have no idea what else I want to do, and all my experience is in this industry? I currently live at home and have been able to save, moving would mean rent etc which is fine, but what if I hate it? I have about £26k saved at the moment, mostly in index ETFs
help me /biz/
Try it, you're climbing the ladder without noticing.
Every IT job starts at the help desk don't fret
>>1944833
In all seriousness I did something similar (leave my job to pursue my passion) and am now experiencing more or less the the same thing but my job revolved around customer service (being treated like dogshit) It sounds like you have a few things you're currently doing but it depends on how passionate you are to pursue them imo. I'm at a crossroads where my investments are going to take some time until I see the fruits of my labor and I've made my peace with it. If you're not hurting for money I'd take the time to go on a small vacation not too far out of town and clear your head. See what next step feels best to you. I'm just waking up so this I know all this I typed out sounds like ass.

thanks for your replies. I guess these are the two options I can do, either take some time off and work on personal projects and see how they go, or jump into another position and carry on working my way up. I guess I can take a few months out and if they ask why just tell them working on personal projects, I guess a dropshipping website, stock trading and writing are all valid experience to say if asked
