So how much truth is there in the idea that Bitcoin, or some other crypto-currency, is going to be the thing which dismantles the stranglehold the banking corporations have? Or is it just a nice niche way to get around having what you buy tracked by others?
Crypto is way better tech than checking accs and credit cards. Some sort of crypto will become reserve currency once a western nation fails (France).

What's stopping cypto from taking over? Isn't the point that it can't be regulated?
Alright anons, my 17 year old younger sister has stumbled onto a REALLY fucking good niche for selling shit online. At first I was skeptical when she told me about it but I did some poking around and there's money to be made for sure. The problem is she doesn't want my help and is treating it more like a hobby than the potential cash cow it could be with some proper branding and social media marketing.
So what do I do? She doesn't want my help and my entire family would despise me if I just set up shop in said niche and outdid her. Seeing as I have actual money to throw around on marketing and some experience with this sort of thing.
Part of me thinks I should just let her have this one, the other part is going crazy knowing how successful the business COULD be.
>inb4 someone asks me what the niche is, not gonna happen.
T. 21 year old minimum wagecuck

Talk with her about starting a serious business together, or don't get involved at all. It's perfectly fine to screw over friends and coworkers, if you get a big reward from it. But screwing over family will haunt you around. Being an asshole will only take you so far, at a certain point you're going to need help, and you don't want your family hating you - especially if you're a minimum wage loser.
And if she says no, then go find another niche. If you're as business savvy as you claim to be then you should be able to out-due your teenage sister.
Well, if you aren't a coward I'd suggest you smoke crack cocaine.

>Seeing as I have actual money to throw around on marketing and some experience with this sort of thing
Investor here, sounds interesting but without clarification I cannot help you.
Short example case:
>your boss writes you a sms or a whatsapp massage
>"Stay home tomorow"
How would you react?
>>1943959
"ok"
>>1943959
If I am salaried.
>sure. I'll still want to know "thing related to my current assignment" so give me a call if that happens.
If I am hourly. I dont respond. I show up tomorrow. I get sent home. Then I invoice them for show-up pay.

what is required to get hired or secure an internship at an investment bank with a mediocre GPA? As long as I get my commerce degree and alot of interesting extra-curricular, would that be enough?
>>1943941
Investment banks are the ones who almost exclusively hire from ivy-league. So you're probably not going to get in with a 2.8 GPA from a no-name college, unless you have tons of connections.
I suggest trying to find a job in a related field, and giving it 110%. If possible try to get a masters in finance/accounting, and then move to a big city. Once you get all of these things in order you'll probably get a good job, but getting into an investment bank is extremely difficult - and even then it's pretty soul crushing.
Tell me about the markets that interest you right now. What changes do you see in the short term and why? How will that affect other, related markets? What is the DOW right now, without looking it up? What's something you've read recently in the Wall Street Journal and how do you think it will affect our investments? Why? What long term affects on the market will it have? What are some risks and opportunities that event creates and why do you think so? What do you think of China's economy and what impact do you see it having on the US markets this year? Why? Do you think the Fed will raise the interest rates and why? What would that mean for you personally? How good at math are you? When did you first realize you had a gift for trading? When did you first realize you were unique? What are some typical valuation models you have personally used when evaluating companies? Please walk me through a DCF. If I asked you to get started today making a trading algorithm, what's the first thing you would do?
If you can answer all these questions at all times with very impressive answers, and you are working towards your degree with a decent GPA, then you have a shot.
Like this guy said though, >>1943953
my opinion might be worthless in this matter because I graduated from Wharton. So from my perspective everyone went into investment banking and those that didn't usually went into their second choice financial service related professions, which most people would consider their first choice.
>>1943967
I say these questions because they are things I remember from my interviews with investment banks.
They were very, very hard interviews and the questions I'm asking are the easier, knowledge-based ones. There were also math tests, probability tests, and lots of personality-related questions.
And I didn't even make it. I became an actuary instead. But if investment banking is really your passion, go for it. It seemed tough when I tried it but I don't know maybe you could have a shot.
>He isn't trying to break into the biofuel market
It's like you hate getting rich and saving the world.
>>1943926
But this is just a scam fueled by a subsidy called idealism.
>>1943926
It would take me too long to get up to speed to succeed in this market. I don't wanna be exposed to so much political risk either. I dont have the negotiating power that my competion can use to complicate my dealings.
Scam.
A 2 lane highway, with cars traveling at 80kmph, with a moderate distance between them, would require crop fields 8km in width, running alongside it, to provide the biofuel necessary to run those cars.
Gtfo of my face with this know-nothing bullshit.

>College should be free so everyone an afford it!
>Why is my college degree so worthless, help I can't even a job!
What the fuck do these people want?!
>>1943916
They want you to go take a free econ class at the local cc so you stop embarrassing yourself on image boards dedicated to such subjects.
>>1943917
I unironically have a degree in economics from Wharton.
Shitposting is fun though.

Alright. Carry on.

>100% guarantee to double your money in exactly 90 days
>They claim they literally credit double the amount of money you invest with them in exactly 90 days
The website is
https://gladiacoin.com/
Is this shit legit or a scam?
They say they do it through Bitcoin arbitrage, trading between different exchanges since so many of them have slightly different prices.
Could this be real or not?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wCX7OdgPRk
These people claim to have doubled their coins and they walk you through the whole website explaining it and everything.
I'm not sure about this.
200% returns every 90 days seems to good to be true...
>>1943782
Also....if the guy in the video believes so much in this, why doesn't he put more money in it? Why does he only put in 1BTC?
why would they want my money if they can double theirs?
Alright /biz/,
I bought 0.13btc, now what?
If you lend me 0.01btc I can send you 0.015btc in about 10 more days. It's a pretty good investment.
>>1943687
What's in it for you?
If I told you my secret then someone else would do it first. There is no risk tho, it involves some local trading and I need some btc as starting capital. I would do it myself but I am cash dry at the moment and don't feel like going to a (((pawnshop)))). You will have your 50% profit within 10 days, probably more like 7.
I have $1,000 to invest and have no idea where to start. Can you guys please help me out?
>>1943603

flip pomegranates.
>>1943524
you may have to actually take delivery of the pomegranates so make sure you don't suck at it. you don't want your pomeys rotting away in a car at the rail-yard in Chicago because you were too much of a doofus to line up a seller.

Hey /biz/, I have 1k in savings and barely put anything in the bank at the end of the month with my job. I rent an apt and living with relatives isn't possible.
How can I start making money on the side? I'm willing to do anything that doesn't involve selling my body. I don't care if I'm not making a significant amount, anything is nice.

Look over a few shitcoins that catch your eye and start accumulating them.
