Hi, I'm a real vet animal doctor.
I suggest you give the dog to a shelter and buy a healthy cat instead.
>>2419360
Could be just be a hot spot, or doggy eczema
How do you feel about puppies and kittens getting along?
Unnatural
>>2419206
Computers are unnatural. Does that make them bad?
>>2419207
Computers allow similar minded races to talk about how unnatural species mingling is. Computers are very natural.
I'm a bit scared, guise. My little Coco wasn't acting her usual hyperactive and spiritley self this afternoon and was instead laying motionless in the corner of her cage. She didn't even move like usual when she saw me approach with food or come out to run around the yard when I opened the bun pen.
Now I did see her get up, start humping her cagemate, and stuffing her face with the veggies I gave them moments before I came back inside, so I'm hoping to god that she was just resting, but it would be the first time I've ever seen her so dejected and unresponsive like that.
If she's still acting weird in the morning I'm taking her to the vet. I just hope she's not sick or suffering some kind of organ failure bullshit that small, frail animals are prone to.
>>2419184
I'm not a vet or anything, but you should get her checked out OP. A dead bun isn't a happy bun.
>>2419195
I'll be checking on her first thing in the morning and taking her if anything is off. My fears are tempered somewhat by her sudden bout of hunger and horniness not long ago, and she was perfectly normal this morning too. One more thing to note is that she did move between floors of the cage a few times to lay down, so the more I think about it, the more it seems like she was just having a nap (I hope).
>>2419184
Godspeed, bun.
It's about the same size as a nickel I think.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer for this anywhere else.. so here goes..
For perennial plants that die of 'old age' what exactly is the cause?
As far as I was concerned plants are forever producing new growth and regenerating to some degree.. so what part of the plant actually gives up and causes the death of the plant, and why?
any thoughts on the matter much appreciated!
the brain stem

Thank you for taking time out of your day.
>>2418669
Pretty much the temperature and the distance from the sun, perennial roots will suck the everloving shit out of soil nutrients too.
It's completely possible to make many of them live, as seen with tomato trees, but the natural cause thing is a mystery to us all.
Can anyone identify this insect?
It was crawling on my desk and I have found the husks of some others before on my desk. Is it harmful?
Looks like a carpet beetle.

How does this work every time
I recently repotted my ricinus. The thing is, it was severely root bound so I made some cuts into the root ball in the process. That was about a week ago and now the edges of the leaves are turning brown. I'm assuming it is a sign of stress or damaged roots. Is this normal and is it likely that my plant will recover? I was told making cuts into the root ball of a root bound plant won't affect it all that much, was I lied to?
>>2418530
Yes, you were lied to. Any root damage can kill plants. Even spreading roots with your hands before transplants usually kills the plant.
The best way to do it is to soak it, extract it and put it in the new pot with no root movement and let it figure out where the new dirt is.
>>2418534
But several websites told me making cuts in the root ball is a good way of handling a rootbound plant. Why would they bullshit like that?
Edges of the leaves turning brown would suggest wind scorch, i.e. a sudden reduction in humidity or a retarded rate of transpiration, Did you move it to a different location after repotting, did you forget to water it in after transplanting? I'd give it a soak and maybe put it in a clear plastic bag to increase humidity.
>>>2418534
>Even spreading roots with your hands before transplants usually kills the plant.
Usually? That's a big exaggeration. Whether root damage kills a plant or not comes down to 1. whether the plant has enough food and water stores to recover from the damage and 2. ensuring that the damaged area is in an open textured media to allow good air flow so that the wound can callus without further infection or rotting.
Can someone help me identify this wasp? I live in the northern region of Virginia for reference
>>2418081
picture is too shitty to say for sure but could be Vespa crabro
is it huge?
>>2418086
It's somewhere around an inch, so most likely.
I think V crabro is way bigger than that
Is it ok to kick a cat if it physically provokes you?
pick it up and throw a few feet
it'll be fine and that'll teach the fucker to leave you alone
>>2418059
I tried that and it didn't work. It's my roommates cat and it fucking attacks me. I'm seriously debating dropping it out of a window and telling him I don't know what happened to his cat.
>>2418065
Try to placate it with treats. Show it that it has no reason to attack you.
If that doesn't work, spray the fucker with a water bottle when it attacks. It'll lear that if it attacks you, it gets wet, and it'll learn.
Post or say something about cats
Cats is the worst when you live alone and are sick.

Take responsibility and keep your shitbeast inside
