>itt: games that feel like vague dreams from your memory

this is Hell Cab

a game from a box set i got as a kid with the most degenerate looking actors ever

You're not alone, anon. All I remember is the cab taking you to some sort of gauntlet in a Roman Colosseum where I died repeatedly. Never progressed past that part. Strange game.

I hope someone can help me identify where it came from. I bought it at a garage sale, i don't know If it will be a fake copy, but he says it's the studio version.

Has anyone else seen it before?
I do not see anything on the internet.

How much did he scalp you OP?

I know that the real Mike Dawson had a falling out with the people at that game studio, must have been really bad since they make him into such a wienerboy in the second one.

Search your hearts, you know this to be true.

Along with Doom, Goldeneye, and Turok, these are the defining FPS of the 1990s.

You forgot Quake. And the huge multiplayer/mod community that spawned. The best Team Fortress is still Quake TF. MegaTF was awesome too.

Over the past few years I started collecting for the SNES since I sold/lost everything I had years ago. Excuse me for my stupidity but as far as collecting for SNES goes:

Are battery saves a problem? If I were to buy an RPG (say Chrono Trigger or Super Mario RPG) do I need to learn how to replace the batteries? That's the one thing keeping me from jumping the gun on the more expensive JRPGs.

What tools do I need for opening the carts and how do I tell the difference between the real deal and repros? There are a few tells I've noticed like molded screws and on the back where the Nintendo logo should be it's just the space for it and then it's blank. How do you tell if the board is fake? At one point I thought I had bought a counterfeit copy of Castlevania IV but it turns out I got a made in Mexico version that has the warnings on the back molded into the cart and the sticker is less glossy compared to the Made in Japan ones.

Are there still decent games that are under $20? I'm talking online prices, since my only way to find a dealer is at anime conventions around my area.

Is it worth it to buy a Super Famicom? I pulled out the tabs with pliers on my US SNES so it plays Super Famicom games so am I missing out on anything by not having the real deal? Should I just get a Super Famicom controller for an authentic feel?

Best Household way to clean the pins on the carts?

And those are my main concerns. I find a lot of differing answers to these questions online and I want to hear from the experts here.

The batteries on all my carts are fine

3.8mm security bit

You can open up a cart and if it has a eeprom wired to it, its a repro

Bo decent snes for under 20, some sfc tho

You dont need a sfc controller to play sfc games. All youre missing out on is english (fine for mario/megman, shit for rpg games)

rubbing alcohol

Can someone furpill me on Psycho Fox? Is it an actual good game, or just liked by furfags?

The gameplay can be pretty weird at first, because you have some weird inertia (the faster you go, the better the response is), but it's a pretty good game.

Any ROMhacks for this game? The gameplay is sweet but the game forces you to go through too many autoscrolling stages.

essentially a good game, but the music in the localisation was boring as fuck. vocal tracks grow annoying pretty fast, especially when there's so few of them that play on repeat.
