Hey /tg/ I'm running D&D 5th ed on roll20 and I really want to put the chimera from FFX into my game. I'm not really sure how to balance this guy though, I was thinking something around 5th level because he's kind alike a spell casting Minotaur. But I'm not sure if that's too low, what do you guys think?
Anybody have Strange Aeons to share? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

Go to /pfg/ and look in the pastebin, there you will find one maybe even two MEGA links which will bring you to massive, well kept archives of pdfs.
You'll find for sure what you are looking for.
I also suggest you to get yourself a copy of Da Archive. You can find one in any pdf share general: it is the most complete rpg archive you may find in the world.

It's in the /pfg/ link repository which you can find here >>54942434
>>54960181
Thanks anon I'll look there.
It would give the guard something do, eh.
But seriously, would it even work? With the Spartans replaced with a squad of marines, and then shoved into the background, while the closest analogue for The Covent would probably be The Tau.
So how you go about translating the game to tabletop tg?
>>54956253
Here is the problem, Halo is very much about the Spartans, though if we would make a proper analogue, The only exceptions are - ODST who work closely to how the Storm Troopers fight, being a drop troop force, and they have their own game, and the Halo Wars part, which gets close to the Guard.
Enemy wise though, the Tau could work as that type of enemy, as they do have many coalitions inside.
I made my Storm troop army based on the ODST though, so I totally get where you are coming from.
>>54956412
Well I'm glad somebody does=D But thinking about it more, I think you're right about the ODST being the closest thing to Spartans.
>>54956253
I don't know Halo that much, but I guess, Sparatans would be some kind of karskin? Please correct, if I am wrong.
If you have the time, please drop by to give me some help or ideas as to how i should build my 4/5c Bring To Light deck at an upcoming modern event. Scapeshift is not something i can afford atm.
I was thinking a slow grindy deck with some silver bullets in the main and in the sideboard for the most played decks, i was also wondering about some kind of reanimator package seeing as i love reanimator in all formats and there is little to no GY hate at my LGS.
This is essentially what im working with atm:
4x Sylvan Caryatid
4x Siege Rhino
2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
4x Thoughtseize
4x Lightning bolt
3x Bring to life
3x Kolaghan`s Command
2x Crackling Doom
2x Terminate
2x Abrupt Decay
Am i completly off my rocker? I dont care if this is t1 or t2 i just want to play something not meta, that people wont expect, since most of the decks there are copy pasted from the internet.
I understand i may have too many ideas at once here.
Do the Space Wolves still control Fenris or are they a nomadic Chapter now? Do their Primaris successor(s?) need to recruit from Fenris too because of the canis helix? Not a SW player just curious how the Great Rift affects them.
Guys I've heard some shit went down in 40k lore with Fenris and Cadia finally getting rekt were there some other major events? Where can I read new lore? I'm pretty out of the loop with 40k.
>>54953937
8e rulebook. Fenris is beat up but will live. Cadia is F
>>54953959
They are still fighting over Cadia.
Yeah the broken ruins but still, metal as fuck.
>not fighting on a cracked planet for revenge against chaos and so your mary sue mechanicus magos Cawl can salvage necron tech to BTFO out of the warp.
So this was pretty great. Any other experiences? Also AMA I guess
Do you ever have something linking any of your characters? a recurring trope or even something more direct. Ever character I've played since July last year has been from the same family. I even have a bunch of other characters made and ready from the family that might not even get played but they're there just in case.
Can't say I have, I'm sure in some games it'd be fun though.
Will give it a go in future.

All of my characters try to work with the system and society he is in contact with. If there is corruption or something wrong with the system he will try to use laws and norms to change things. He won't go full anarchist and try to destroy entire foundation of society. I also don't like people who are behaving like fools, morons and don't have proper etiquette.
>>54952683
>I play characters the GM actually can utilize in his worldbuilding.
Too rare these days. Keep it up my man.
This being said an Anarchist might be an interesting character if he actually has a moral compass and political goals.
The struggle between not acting contrarian towards the ideology while seeing the necessity of cooperating with a state might be interesting.
What is the best fantasy skirmish game ever published, and why is it pic related?
Why is it awesome?
Does anyone play pic related? How do you feel about it?
Played it one time, felt really bland. The art is fine but the Lovecraftian theme isn't all that well represented.
IMHO no reason to buy/play this if you already own/play the original Pandemic.
>>54952993
Well, I very rarely play tabletops (less than once a year, usually) and bought this one on a whim. Been playing with my gf and really enjoy it. Wish I could get a couple more people to fully experience it.
>>54954894
I'm not saying it's bad, it's just more of the same with different artworks.
If you do enjoy it, it's great.
Alright /tg/, tell me the funniest shit that has ever happened to you in a game of commander, stuff so unbelievably lolsy you sit back and laugh about it to this day. anything from someone (including yourself) pulling a victory out of nowhere to someone completely being ahead of the rest of the board only to die. ill start off with mine.
>be me
>be playing on Untap.in
>be playing nekusar
>go up against vela, lazav and locust god
>locust god and nekusar in the same game
>ohshit.jpg
>vela and lazav hardly do anything so they arent that important
>only impactful thing lazav does is play memory erosion which mills away a fate unraveller
>locust god casts alahammerets archive
>starts making locust tokens
>locust god casts winds of change
>locust god makes 14 insect tokens
>swings all at me
>ow.png
>if i dont kill locust god this turn i will likely die
>draw card for turn
>waste not
>have jace's archivist
>oh shit
>cast and activate archivist thanks to lightning greaves
>waste not triggers a shit ton of stuff
.>spend 5 minutes sorting out all its triggers
>cast windfall
>have a total of 43 black mana
>locust god has 60+ insect tokens
>cast burning enquiry as last hope
>miracle draw
>draw into underworld dreams and teferi's puzzle box
>cast both and end turn
>locust god goes to his turn
>draws 2 cards then teferis them away for a total of 20
>draws 40 cards
>exact amount of damage to kill him
>MFW i kill him with underworld dreams
>MFW waste not is considered a win condition in my deck
I have nothing to add, but I really liked the story. Nothing mundane ever happens in a game with Waste Not
So I'm wanting to make a team of professionals for my game
Instead of making them HP sponges or higher level bosses, in going to focus on having them be extremely smart(Tucker's kobolds, kind of)
How would you run an enemy like this?
>>54949287
Make him unpredictable. when the players zig he zags. Keep him one step ahead of them unlesss they legitamitely figure out a way to skip the line and get in his way. Think Batmans Joker.
>>54949287
Go research basic and journeyman strategy
Your players will be fucking amazed at their deep and complicated plans.
>>54949287
>>54949411
Alternately, you can make him manipulative evil. Getting others to do all the dirty work for him. Every time the players thwart the big bad plot they only find out that all their efforts were inconsequential to the real threat, which they know nothing about.
Or combine both ideas.
How the hell do I properly scale a map?
>>54947798
Go out and walk, i do alot of hiking and hunting and it seriously improves my sense of scale and idea of how daunting and arduous a journey to a far flung dungeon can be
>>54947798
With scales! Like what you'd weigh a good with!!!
>>54947798
Or you could look at lot of maps? Go put be social? Look at maps of different things? Map of your state/country. Map of your town. Map of current event like a fair.
Can someone please post a working download link to "uncharted worlds – far beyond humanity", because the archive links are broken.
Also requesting ideas for space opera adventures/campaings, because im willing to try a new genre.
>>54947193
What kind of game is this? tell me about it.
>>54948017
It's a supplement for "Uncharted Worlds", a sci-fi Powered By the Apocalypse hack.
It's a narrative RPG system, very rules light, focusing more on the flow of the story than at mechanics. My group always gave a lot of fun with it, but it's hated by some here on /tg/.
Check DA Archive and search for PBTA.

Which system would you use to run some heroic science fantasy? I'm looking for something that would let me put mythical heroes like Achilles, Jason, Arthur, Merlin, or Aladdin on equal footing as pic related.
Yes, I know it's a weaboo anime tier request, but it's what I'd like to run.
>>54946633
Anima. No seriously It's probably one of the few systems not afraid of neckbears weakness to anime. Just because you may have had or seen a player who made their character after Sephiroth doesn't mean doing more than swinging a sword is weaboo.
Savage Worlds
Mutants and Masterminds
D&D
