How many hours of studying do you put into preparing for an exam ?
I just got a 46% at a Plant physiology exam for which I studied 24 hours total over the course of 5 days prior to the exam.
I'm just trying to analyze and find out how I got that shitty grade when my peers got 70s and 80s.
Am I actually a brainlet or I just didn't study enough for that particular course? Or maybe my studying method is not effective
I need to find out what it is and correct it for the remaining half of the semester

In general, though, your question is philosophical in nature, i.e. you can argue both for the existence and the nonexistence of fields, and it's impossible to claim 100 % confidence in any answer.
Fields are (one of a fuckton of) mathematical representations of reality. Do fields exist as entities in and of themselves? Nobody can tell you, because it's not possible to observe the field itself, only its properties. However, now I've already entered into philosophyland, because obviously you can't directly observe anything, you can only observe its properties.
TL;DR: You shouldn't give a shit about if fields exist or not, you should give a shit about whether they are useful representations of reality or not.

>maybe we let all kids use formulas on tests so they can actually understand the material
>not just focus on passing the test and memorizing formulas
>in the real world formulas and double checking work is common practice
>if you have access to the formulas, instead of memorizing them, you can understand how they apply and how the math is useful/important

So I have a question that perhaps someone smarter than me could offer some insights into:
Let's say we could take a coin on a table and zoom in on it forever. You just keep getting to greater and greater scales of magnification in perpetuity.
Is there ever a limit or a "basement magnification" on how far you can zoom in on the coin?
The idea of there possibly being a hard limit to the amount of detail that can be observed in reality is pretty crazy to me. (OR the idea that matter has a base unit beyond which we can go no further)
Inversely, the idea that you can keep zooming in on the coin and seeing additional detail forever is pretty crazy. Even if you leave the realm of matter and get into weirdo energy quantum shit.
And IF you can keep zooming in forever, does that detail ACTUALLY exist prior to being observed? Or is the Universe procedurally creating that detail as it is observed?

While I was taking geology at uni we, people from the department, would often go out for drinks at the end of the day. One of my peers brought along her roommate who was hospitality management or nutrition or some other such major. She starts going on and on about the healing properties and the different auras of various natural crystals. She won't shut up about it, she thinks since we are all geo people this will get our dicks harder than corundum.
Everyone is just letting it happen, but I had never met this girl before, so I guess I didn't know the drill. She pulls out this necklace calls it "Blue Sandstone", starts telling us about how it must have formed in some mineral rich location and after eons in the ground it absorbed so much energy that now it radiates it out and keeps her grounded. Isn't it amazing how something natural can be so beautiful, look how it sparkles and shines it reflects from all angles just like someone who is grounded should. I wish more people would embrace the power of natural gemstones....like you all do.
I can't take it, so I just tell her straight up, that it's glass, normal man-made glass. She is probably older than that hunk of garbage silica, in fact I'm pretty sure it is a Venetian method from centuries ago to sell waste glass. It has no crystal habit, it has no natural energy, it does less to keep you grounded than the beer glass in my hand (at least that has beer in it).
She got pretty pissed. I don't get it are we just supposed to let people be wrong?
