why do ethnic folks like low profile wheels so much?
why do white people call everyone else ethnic? it's literally incomprehensible
We're trying to keep a low profile...

Hello /o/. Please help with a few questions. I'm a turbo normie compared to this board. That said, I have normie questions that Google doesn't seem to want to give me a straight answer to.
I intend to rotate my tires. Do I need another alignment? The car was/is as straight as an arrow when I first put the new tires on 10k miles ago.
When flushing the transmission fluid, does it matter if the car is still hot? Should I let it cool down first just for safety reasons? Or does it not matter
Lastly, when I changed my rotors/pads, one of the brake caliper bracket bolts was seized and snapped off the very top inside the bracket itself. I intend to buy a new bracket. Does the bracket usually include new bolts as well?
Sorry to be a bother. A /k/ommando anime grill for your time

Nah
Nah (Just don't fucking burn yourself)
Probably, make sure the stuff you're buying comes with the required hardware
Also this is something that belongs in qtddtot (questions that dont deserve their own thread), as it really isn't a discussion topic, but just basic questions.
>>17882097
I'm sorry. Didn't even know /o/ had a QTDDTOT
Figured that was only on /fit/ or like SQT on /g/. Thanks for the responses. I'll let the thread 404 then.

Only Issues i Had were the Power windows failing, and the rear suspension needing to be changed ( Was driven on pretty rough roads at one point)
Other than that all is good.

I'm thinking about buying an old (1999-2006) Mercedes Benz Slk 230. Thoughts, opinions?
german mx-5
Current car is a 2003 Audi TT.
The other car I've been thinking about is a BMW Z3.
There's a few others, but most of the cars that I'd like to own I either can't afford or am currently unable to drive due to license restrictions.
>>17881136
Both options are not as good as the TT.

What's bad about this car?

Compared to pretty much everything

>Go for test drive

>Sound system is really good
>Blasting running in the 90's
>Start thinking about the drifts
>Have the 6k for the car in my pocket

YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS FWD?
I'm sorry anon, you deserve what you got. If you didn't know all civics were fwd or didn't do any research than you're a dummy dum dum.
Went to start my car today and it only cranked for a minute before stopping.
I come back to it and turn the key and now all I get is a rapid clicking sound, I tried to jump the car and it still won't start, I tested the battery with a volt meter and it's 12.30, so I couldn't possibly be the battery? I mean, my lights aren't dim at all.
Is it the starter motor that's malfunctioning?
Pic not related but cool none the less.
>>17880547
Sorry, cranked for a second*
>>17880547
Check your battery connections and ground? Also, my car which has it's own fucking issues I can't figure out

I bought a 1985 Mercedes Benz 190 D. Have any of you anons owned this car before, or do any of you have any information on this car?
>>17880496
Remember 10mm-13-15-18 sockets and everything should be fine. Most bolts with a flathead insert can also be tightened with a torque wrench. Bolts with Allen Key holes should not be removed as they hold important roles such as being part of the air cleaner mount. Check muffler rubber rings and holds. If you see wires touching the engine cover then ziptie them away from contacting the block. Brake pads are ceramic on a metal disk, check disk for wear thickness for it to be replaced. No wire cables should be cut around disks. Put jack stands on rubber pads underneath the frame and nowhere else. Small holes near the wheels is where you put the emergency jack when you have a flat. Spare tire is under trunk in the interior. There are drainage plugs in the trunk. Normal diesel engine temperature is 60°C normal and 80°C while under load or hot weather.
Loosen tire bolts from bottom to top, then top to bottom when changing tires. The gas cap tells the recommended wheel PSI. The companion key is only for locking/unlocking glovebox and trunk and will not start the car. Truck is locked while locked. Driver side unlocks and locks all doors and trunk. Wires and pneumatic vacuum tubes will be a future project if the car door keyholes don't twist ajar for key to not be able to enter. Key has to be in the ignition for the wheel to unlock. Wheel will automatically lock itself if there are no keys inserted in the starter. You have to twist both the key and the wheel at once to unlock wheel.

It's a great car so far, payed 3800, for it. Runs like a dream. I just wanted to see if anyone else ever owned it/ knew anything about it.
hey, i want to haul in pallets, old couches and fridges and scrapwood to slab city DIY skatepark over the course of a couple weeks and can either borrow and install my girlfriends roofrack or i could just do something ghetto like this:
install tiedown hooks on the side of the bed
lay a box spring mattress on top or a number of movingmats over the top of my topper and then strap down whatever crap i want to put on top
i figure a boxspring would distribute the load evenly over the top of the arched roof. how much weight can one of these badboys handle? most fridgerators weigh no more thann 150lb, yeah?
or you could just use the pick up bed as a way to transport such items
>>17880333
Break the top with a hammer to create bed-fill and then you can strap it to the top of the bed.
modern fridges are like 330 pounds

Hey guys, I'm going to go look at a merkur xr4-ti tomorrow that's for sale near me for about $2000. It looks nice and clean, registered, smogged, and run and drives with only some minor issues. (Cracked windshield and it needs new struts). I'm looking for a project so that's okay
Is there anything I should look out for? Why do these cars seem undervalued?
>>17879955
can you even find a windshield?
>>17880197
Looks like it's on rockauto yeah
>>17879955
OP I'm sorry but that car is really ugly you really should get something else.
Do you guys buy new? I'm 30 and I have only bought cars with cash. It's served me well, as I have $0 debt. Is it worth going into debt to get a new vehicle?
What about new-ish?
3k civic
>>17879207
Why bother? Used has better selection and price and is new enough. I usually take out a 2 year loan or something with the intention of paying it off in a few months (this gives me the option of actually using the loan if for some reason I need the cash for some unexpected happening.)
i buy used you can sometimes get 40% off msrp for a current year model that's what i did anyways
