trying to get my damn bleeders unstuck. i've let them soak in pb blaster for several nights. don't have a torch. anyone got tips?
>>17882813
Might as well buy a MAP gas torch from the hardware store. If you're doing your own work then you're going to come across more frozen nuts and bolts. Torching it is so quick and easy and just overall makes your life nice instead of hell and gives you the rest of your afternoon back.
>>17882813
Just replace the calipers, they're not expensive or hard to do
When I've had them stick and the tiny nut rounded off I could grab it with vice grips and unscrew it.
Ok /o/, redpill me on CVTs (continuous variable transmissions). Are they a meme or are they better than a traditional transmission with set gear ratios?
Pic unrelated

It's a joke and so are you
Cool in theory
Good on paper
Bad in practice
Drive like garbage
They're great for snowmobiles, ATVs and whatnot where you have vehicles with very good power-to-weight ratios and the ratio range is usually quite low anyways
For cars... I don't like them. They feel very detached from the car itself, noisy as it rests at about the redline whenever you need to accelerate, shifting between driving and reverse is really slow, and properly engine braking is pretty much impossible outside of very specific descents and speeds

Don't they realize it's a factory option on the Fiesta?

what does anon think about citroen cx 1977 y.m. ? is it classical car with price going up every year? there is on guy who wants to swap my jeep with his cx pallas 2.2 stick tranny. i want to swap the engine with turbo and automatic tranny. is it possible to buy mint condition engine and tranny from europe and ship to turd world kazastan?
what should I look for when I will make up my mind and get it?
>>17882541
French here. I'm glad you're liking our cars. CX value is rising there. They have a nice spot currently in the used car market: It'll be cool in 5 years, they are cheaper than DS and more reliable than the XM. The motors are sturdy, and by sturdy i say Mercedes sturdy. The most common problems are rust and parts rarity. In france the cx isn't common because they were seen as trash for 20 years.
How many kilometers she have? Do you have rust?
Ips :secretly want a cx gti turbo
>what do you think about the Citroen CX?
Love it.
>is it a classical car which price will keep on raising?
yes, provided you have a exemplar in very good condition and/or the higher trims like 25 gti turbo 2, 25 prestige turbo... 22 is not high trim but if it's in very good condition it might well increase in value.
>swapping the engine for a turbo and the trans for an automatic
might be feasible, don't know how much effort it would need. But not a good idea if you want to keep it all matching and have a raising value.
>is it possible to buy a mint condition engine and tranny from europe and ship it to kazakhstan?
Possible? Of course. Easy? Absolutely fucking not. You will have to rummage through a LOT of classifieds to find an original engine in good condition from a turbo. Plus those M-series engines existed only in the CX, no other Citroen got them. You might be better off trying to import a complete (and mint) 25 gti turbo.
>what should I look for when I go to check it out?
Leaks in the hydraulic circuit. Check that it works well, make the car go up and down a few times, it should do so without noise and relatively fast. if possible, have the guy show you maintenance records for this car. Hydraulic fluid changes should appear. This supension system is GOAT but it takes some effort to keep it in good shape.
Other than that, regular old car stuff: oil leaks, does it start when hot/cold, how does the oil/coolant look like, does it shift OK...
Could someone on /o/ run a VIN through carfax for me?

Found this, (2005 CTS V w/ <75k, clean title for $8.5k) this is WAY below market value making me think something is too good to be true. Anyone with connections mind helping me out?

Oh shit, didn't even think of that. I'm sure you're right. Would it even be worth getting a PPI to make sure?
I work at a ride hands free carwash as a crew member.
My job is to:
>vacuum
>Hand dry cars
>provide extras which include tire gloss, rain repel, spraying and hand drying the interior windows, dash, trim, and rubber mats, wiping rims, getting rid of bugs on the front, armor all, etc. (I do more like clean the bathroom and wash towels and shit too)
>Lead people onto the track that takes them through the wash
>drive cars off of the track into the lot
feel free to ask me anything

No, i'm of african decent.
Good day, /o/.
So I currently drive an 06 Pontiac G6 GTP. 6 Speed. It's getting up to ~120k miles now, and as much as I love the car I need to get something bigger.
I want to potentially get something newer. My local Subaru dealer has a 2017 Forester with a manual transmission, and I was thinking of selling the car and using that as a down payment. Dealer can't sell it because stick. Which is kind of weird for rural flatlands, I thought.
Anyway, looking for something of the like, preferably ~25k give or take. What's /o/'s opinion on Subaru Foresters?
Forester is nice OP, what purpose will it serve?
>>17882347
Started my own IT business, need more room to haul in more than the bed of my truck. Have a baby on the way as well.
I live in the middle of nowhere and we also get pretty large snow drifts, so need to be able to get in and out of my driveway that's a mile long. I'd like something with more ground clearance personally, but my Bronco will have to suffice if I can't get something high enough.

might as well just cut your dick off faggot.
>he has a black car on a dirt road
Oh wait, that's me. Why did I do this to myself, /o/?
So you can write funny messages and DIY rally liveries in the dirt when you park.
Because you don't fucking think, the same reason as for all your other fuckups.
Because you touch yourself at night
Is it possible? After 20 years of producing garbage and failures this is a sexy looking Opel again.

Not sporty but enough for a good daily. Any opinions /o/?
