Does anyone think that the recent push for fingerprint scanner for unlocking your phone means that cars will also adopt a fingerprint or iris scanner instead of a pushbutton or a key start?
>>17876336
They already adopted unlocking by phone
Which is unlocked by fingerprint or iris scanner
I dont see why they couldnt do it to unlock but i souldnt want it for start
It makes sense though. A thief would have a hard time getting your exact fingerprint to unlock the car. The only problem is if you have some condition where you don't have a fingerprint, but those are not so common, so car makers could just offer the regular version.
Can somebody explain my auto loan to a retard? Is the $26,033.52 also including the interest that is on the car, too? Because with 469 x 72 will come to $34,000. Pls don't bully me.
>>17876186
>Because with 469 x 72 will come to $34,000.
That's because of a little thing called interest, retard.
>Pls don't bully me.
No, you deserve to get bullied because your stupid ass signed up for a loan without doing the basic math and reading some basic information on how a loan works.
>>17876189
That's why I asked if the interest is already accumulated into the current principal of the car because typically they have an outstanding balance and a principal for how much you owe on the car.

>26k
what did you buy anon I wanna see, how you liking it so far?
how the hell did you go for a $500 payment for 72 months? refi that shit ASAP.
I feel like you guys would be better to ask than DIY
I had my oil changed at a dealership a month and a half - 2 months ago (maybe 1k miles if that) and the oil light already came back on (and it's almost completely dry [im changing the oil today]).
Do you think I should change the oil filter? I read it takes 4qts, but isn't that if you do the filter too? (So would I then just use 3.5qts?)
It's a 2010 Honda Accord 4cyl
Thanks guys
How are you burning through oil so quick on a new car?
How the FUCK is your car consuming that much oil? Did the dealership fuck up?
Always do the filter when you do the oil
I honestly have no idea, I haven't seen any oil on my driveway or at work... It happened to my brothers '02 Accord as well (but that car needs a few things done to it)
So i am thinking about buying a 2008/2009
Subaru Legacy Sedan Diesel.
I want to know if some of you guys can give me some info about that car.
I personally like it, it looks good, is 4WD, good MPG, and does 8,7 sec from 0 - 100km/h with only 150Bhp.
Also i have seen that you can tune the stock
2 liter Turbo Diesel Boxer engine up to 200Bhp, by simply putting more boost in the stock Turbo.
So what do you guys think?
>>17875881
y tho? awd is a meme. just get a civic for 3k.
>>17876076
Nope thanks
get a third gen TT instead.
My truck is quickly dying on me and i need a replacement.
Requirements for the new vehicle are that it has to be reliable, easy to work on, able to withstand heavy snowfall and be able to tow a trailer full of supplies, and/or carry many tool boxes, and not be totally fugly. I'm thinking only a truck or van would be able to accomplish this but if there is a car that can I'm open to the idea.

My Charger had like 210k before it finally blew a headgasket. At least I only paid like $2k for it with 140k on it.

500kkm EG Civic
Got it literally from scrap heap all beaten up with 300kkm and drove another 10 years and 200kkm.
In the end engine started to use shitton of oil, did compression check, was within factory spec so most likely valve seals or oil rings.
>I've ever owned
153k and counting.
Does a toy count? The S10 Blazer beater has over 200k on it. Unfortunately the entire dash cluster works randomly now.

Probably the Civic 2.0L or Corolla 1.8L with 6 speed manuals. Mazda's Skyaactiv shit is weak by being light and high compression. Nissan, no way. Fords Focus and Fiesta fucking suck. (my fiesta blew a head gasket cause water pump went out at 77k mikes) The 1.5T CVT Civic is a great buy though and its not that bad to have a transmission rebuilt or replaced. Turbo too. If you can afford a 20k econobox, a tranny rebuild aint shit to worry about. I know cause Ive had it done three times in my years. A 2002 ford explorer, 2003 accord and 2011 fiesta.

Let's say I have about $1000 to start. I am on the west coast in Oregon.
What kind of cars should I look into or rather what kind of brands should I look into, in order to make a profit?
Ideally, let's say I find a good deal, talk the person down to 700 to 800 and upsell for 1500-2000.
The question is, what kind of car would this be? Some sporty car? Good gas mileage? A geo metro with 100k miles?
>>17875018
Buy low sell high.
>>17875129
That's with any kind of flipping. But what would the car be? It's not easy to learn what kind of cars are selling in your area. Especially if it isn't a big city.
>>17875136
you're going to need to figure this out yourself.
You're going to have to pay the fee of learning. Most likely you'll lose out on money the first time or second time. asking on /o/ about this is useless.
Does /o/ approve of this car?

What's worse is that Seth is going to be the producer on the KotH reboot. These things were not meant to be.
>>17875200
Stop spreading misinformation.
Are these things good? Specifically the 1st gen 2004-2007.
I'm starting to see these things for $12k with ~80k miles. They have the LS6/LS2 engines and all of them are manual only.
The interior actually seems worse than my 8th gen accord, but a 400hp NA V8 DD that's comfy appeals to me
They're good. I'll probably pick one up at some point. Pretty bulletproof drive train. Decent interiors.
>>17874997
first gen had 'paper mache' rear ends
same stuff from the v6 model

I forget which caddy it was exactly from that era, but I was expecting an FWD nighmare and it was really pretty very nice.
Got old and busted in the way that USDM of that age does, alas.
