It is immoral to not tell them, and I can't imagine wanting and having to keep a secret like that from someone you claim to love. The love you have means less because it's untested. If your partner learned that you're trans and their decision would be to leave you, it was important enough to him to know. That's for him to decide not you. Now imagine your partner had ended up learning you're trans, but not from you. Even if they would have accepted it had you been the one to tell them, don't you think they would be extremely mad and leave you because you felt they didn't need to know? Being distrusted by your partner is a bitter feeling. It's absolutely unneeded stress on your part as well.

To be clear, lying to your partner is immoral in a deontological perspective because all lying is immoral. Years of both of your lives down the drain, a messy divorce, and so many other troubles that wouldn't have occurred if you had simply found yourself a person with whom you could be honest.
