The Gerard R Ford class has a bunch of improvements over the Nimitz, such as EMALS and the improved flow of munitions.
What are some of the lesser-known differences? For example, some /k/ommando told me the rectangular section in the rear has something to do with plane maintenance, but I can't find a source on that. The Nimitz class is missing that entire section.
Where you all at anyone stationed here on Hawaii with me? I'm stationed at Fort Shaffer. Where are my military /k/ folks at? Pic is the view from the hotel my wife and I stayed at until our house was ready.

a thread dies for this. I hope you fall in a lava flow
I'm really into roller lock delayed weapons, but I don't like having too many calibers, and .308 is pretty expensive compared to 5.56. I also don't have a range near me that goes far enough for .308 to be really necessary either. What's your choice /k/?
When did cops start carrying these sword-length batons and where can I get one? They look fucking dope as hell.

I ordered this bowie knife and I wanted to know if there was anything better I could get for a similar price.

Also, can any Illinois fags clear up the knife laws? It states you can carry a blade over three inches so long as you don't have the intent to harm anyone (I don't, it's for self defense since I'm not 18 yet and I can't get a gun), but I'm worried some cop will give me shit for it and try to charge me with something.

Well considering its a 10inch blade and you're still a minor I wouldn't recommend carrying this.
Just get a folder. Its easier to conceal (just put it in your fucking pocket). The purpose of a knife is to be felt not seen and believe me if you pull this shit out your attacker(s) will see it and beat you retarded and easily disarm you.
I am wanting to build a home defense ar (((pistol))) and am deciding on length.
I wont go any lower then 10.5 to avoid running into reliability issues.
I would really like to mimic what the defender of the faith has.
What length is he running?
seems like most foreign non ar 5.56 are around 12.5+
>>34162251
I think that's a 10.5". The handguard is probably a 9", it's definitely not a 12".
This is the best self defense gun prove me wrong
>>34162195
No one gives a flying fuck what you use to defend yourself because it's only your problem.
That being said, I'll be waiting to read the newspaper about some dumbfuck using a rimfire cartridge to defend himself.

My brother in law is a navy seal and he said socom is gonna start using these soon.

I heard that its pretty much impossible to go through a single magazine without feed issues and jamming.
/k/ what is the weirdest gun you concealed carried and or sweeper your home with?
I've used all mannor of odd rifles to clear my home. Bu the oddest gun I concealed carried was a Belgium copy of a British bulldog I restored and a 12mm pin fire I stil open carry inawoods

I used to OC a 1926 1911A1 semi-often, then one time I just mexicaƱ carried to get a pizza.
Guess that'd be it.
Best .223/5.56 alternative to a NY legal AR? I'll be leaving this state in a couple years but until then I'd like a semi auto rifle. Is a Mini-14 my best bet or should I get a Kel-Tec SU-16?
>>34161945
Kel-Tec Su-16 is dirt cheap, accepts STANAG magazines, and doesn't have an asshole creator who thinks ARs will be a thing of the past.
>>34161968
Bill Ruger is long dead though. Who gives a shit about his opinion.
>>34161945
Look into the SCR. Its a traditional rifle stocked AR that has its own special BCG and will work with pretty much any AR 15 upper
does /k/ not have an offsite archive? or am i stuck with moe?

Does not squishy.
I just found out it's the official gun of Brinks though; might sell.
What would sailors and pirates do with their flintlocks after they fired them? Would they try to reload? Would they just drop them? Did they use bayonets or cutlasses?
>>34160019
Use it as a club
>>34160019
Marines in the fighting tops would reload (or probably have someone reload for them).
Boarders didnt take muskets. They took the standard issue sea patern pistol. Not good at any range above 5 yards. They would stick it in the other guys guts, chest, or face. Pull the trigger and drop it. Pull their cutlass. Most boarders had pikes with no pistol anyways.
>>34160148
only French sailors would drop them
