What is /k/'s opinion on slingshots?
Are they useful for anything else other than pissing off neighbors or small game?
If so then what ammo is best?

Sling shots can very lethal depending on the how strong it is and what you're using for ammo. Things like rocks and metal balls can very well kill or seriously injure a person if it strikes their head.
Alright /k/, I have an interesting question for you gun nuts.
Say that I was a gun collector with three good friends who wanted to have a collection of exactly 4 guns, with no two guns being the same or from the same series (no AK-47 and AK-74, but RPK and AK-47 would be allowed). Additionally, I'd be limited to only semi automatics (no money for fullies). Furthermore, I can't stockpile ammo for some reason (say I live in a hole in the ground and I only have enough room for me, my microwave and my 4 guns+accessories)
If I was paranoid about being thrown in some SHTF situation where I can't source the ammo, and I had to give one gun to each of my friends to survive, what guns would I pick? Particularly, would I go for same caliber or different calibers?

Hey /k/ I keep noticing the US uses Australia as a shining example of gun control but they somehow forget to mention how most of the firearms economy just ended up underground and firearm crime is still a massive issue.
I used to support our gun regs. because I was an inner city fag who never actually handled one. But after moving to the country to be with family and going on some hunting trips (I'm pretty we used a.22 bolt action) its pretty fucking clear that most gun owners know their shit and don't actually want to shoot up a school or something. Don't let your dogshit media hold us as an example when all we've achieved is the building of a nannystate.
Do you guys think any regs are a good idea? I can understand trying to ban a M249 or RPG but handguns and shit is just stupid.

The "government comes and takes your shit away" wouldn't fly over here. People shilling Aussie gun control keep quiet about that.

ITT: Help me decide whether or not to take the HPSP scholarship with the Army for med school (MD/DO school)
>I'm paralyzed by indecision.
shameless bump
>>34144556
Go for it? I'm not sure what your criteria is here OP; but you'll get your schooling paid for, don't have to worry about insurance costs when you practice, and will get work experience.
On the negative side you won't make as much money as you would on the outside, you'll owe the Army time, and be loosely held to Army standards- loosely being the key word.
I haven't met any Army surgeons who really regret their initial decision at any rate.
>>34144556
med student here
my vote would be go through med school without it then decide when youre done whether you want to go .mil or not. they'll still forgive your loans if you join after. that way you wont be tied to the decision if you change your mind after 4 years.
Just got stationed at WA, any good places to go innawoods in WA state?

Why is it that undeveloped poverty-stricken "countries" have access to assault rifles, whilst cucked developed nations have to settle for the inferior equivalent?

So I've been thinking about join the Army. I've always been interested in the history of militaries and sort of always admired soldiers and warriors n such. I love guns, I love the tactical side of it, and I want to do something that's greater than myself. I'm thinking of joining the infantry.
The only thing is, I'm pretty scared. I'm scared to just give away 4 years or more of my life if I realize, after I join, that the military is not right for me. I know it's a risk, and it seems like an exciting risk, but scary too.
How do I get over that fear? How do I get that motivation to just do it? How do I know I won't be wasting years of my life that I'll never get back? I'm on the border of wanting to join and not wanting to join. I sort of want to be convinced to join.
So /k/ can you convince me?
